I'm not sure what is wrong with global political and institutional elites that they can't say 'no' to a bunch of extremely odd fetishists over this chronic drag queen thing. By any definition, drag is weird - not to say they're horrible people or anything like that, but it's just way outside the mainstream for entertainment people seek. So what's with the obsession over this? It seems almost abusive, "we know you hate this so we're going to force it on you at events where it has zero connection - we just want to make you watch...ha ha ha ha ha ha." So pathetic that the Olympic Committee couldn't just tell them nicely, "We don't mean any offense but this is no place for a drag show."

Anyone have a clip of the opening ceremonies Last Supper? Seems like the internet has memory-holed it already

It was atrocious... absolute garbage.

"Thomas Jolly, the choreographer responsible for this slopfest, told the AP, “My wish isn’t to be subversive, nor to mock or to shock. Most of all, I wanted to send a message of love, a message of inclusion and not at all to divide.” "

Liar. The point is to undermine the gender binary and to separate sex from gender. As Bishop Barron said, they see Christians as the enemy, and they're right. We are. They go after us and not Muslims because Christianity formed the West. They destroy us in order to change...everything.

Try this with a scene depicting Mohamed the prophet and see how things turn out.

So durm. I wish the Olympics would just light the torch and get on with the games.

As a Christian, who rarely gets offended by much, I completely disagree with your sentiment. Try this with Muslims and Paris would be burnt to the ground. But, Christians, we are always fair game for these losers

"performers were lined up to emulate da Vinci’s Last Supper, except gay"

First, what does it have to do with France? The historical characters in the scene were Jewish, the fresco itself was by Da Vinci made in italy, so it wasn't France's contribution to humanity to re-interpret or whatever they wanted to say. They would be welcome to show Napoleon or Loui XIV in whatever drag they wanted.

Second, if they really wanted to be inclusive, or rather equal opportunity offenders, they could have also shown a threesome with Mohammad in his harem, and a gay wedding of Buddha and Confucius, you get the idea.

As is was, it was utterly pathetic

The choeographer’s intent was inclusion and love, not to shock or mock. Right. Have you noticed yet that the far-left ALWAYS says their intent is the opposite of reality. That, for example, is why the democrats called their multi-trillion dollar law The Inflation Reduction Act, and the Rescue America Act. It’s right out of 1984.

Every time.

Men are women. Women do not exist as distinct. It is loving and inclusive!

And, there is no past - only the present (like with Biden & Harris for instance) - which is also out of 1984.

And The Last Supper is a mural painted by Da Vinci and it is located in Milan, Italy. So what's that got to do with France?

I don’t offend easily but I am very offended by the mockery of the Last Supper. The entire display was clearly meant to offend, despite protestrations to the contrary.

I do agree though that France has shamed itself though. Beyond pathetic.

I wonder what Suzy's reaction would have been had they mocked Judaism instead of Christianity
