I used to have a lot of respect for JBP when I only listened to his podcasts and youtube lectures. Even attended a talk he gave in Melbourne a few years ago. But once I joined twitter and read his tweets I lost a lot of respect for him as they were often of the worse type of critical and derogatory category of tweets, with personal attacks on many people with whom he failed to find any common ground. AS a health professional myself i do think we should probably hold ourselves to a higher standard than private individuals.
