Small matter concerning the Venezuela piece -Roger Waters was never the front man for Pink Floyd, although I would agree with the rest of your description.

Dave Gilmour was front man, vocalist guitarist, and (allegedly)part time Bass player whenever Waters couldn't hack it.

Harris is not black. My friend Deepak is not black, They are both Indian. Brahmin class as it happens, which is pretty cushy. D's Dad has ten classic 1960's American cars, in India. Let's discuss "privilege". D's a very nice guy, just saying.

Man, I don't think I can take 100 days of identity politics being spewed out by both parties and the media. The whole damn election is going to boil down to who do you hate the least.

Seriously, the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz shouting "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" might as well be Harris or Trump as portrayed by the MSM. Well, except in the case of Kamala she would say "Pay no attention to that black woman behind the curtain!".

Since a key plank of the D's is saving the planet from CO2 (which if you are reading this means you are alive and spewing great quantities of the poison into the atmosphere 30 times a minute) I believe it is important to try understanding the whole discussion...attached is a short video brought to us by the Climate Discussion Nexus (CDN)...it is one of the few groups I have found presenting a thoughtful, databases rebuttal to the dire predictions of the climate catastrophists...enjoy...warning...it may make your head hurt as you begin to realize another lie we are being told...g.

Unpopular opinion: The government should have ripped the bandaid off long ago and paid direct payments (a stipend) for a limited time as reparations for descendants of slaves. Instead, we have this hodgepodge of a victim hierarchy to procure special treatment and benefits, massive wasteful social spending programs which shovel money into crooked nonprofits, where white liberal women with grievance degrees get to make a living deciding how to dole out small pittances of goods and services to poor people.

What's the current body count for Israel's "two-front" war? 12 Israeli children were killed by Hezbollah on Sunday. How many Palestinian children has Israel killed? I think it may be a few more than 12. But make sure you report loud and clear that 12 ISRAELI children were killed.

And you're endorsing the Jewish Insider claim that the Washington Post newsroom is filled with terrorist sympathizers? Just wanting to make sure.

There are some downsides to starting a war, raping, pillaging and then using children as human shields. That last part is not my analysis. That's what both Hamas and Hezbollah leaders say they are doing and want to do. So yeh, the people who don't use children as human shields have a right to be upset when they are killed. The ones who celebrate their children being killed, martyred, can continue to celebrate.

Have you thought why in hell those Israeli kids were playing soccer that close to the border, in an area that had been attacked, and where others were fleeing? Human shields are what they are, but what kind of stupidity puts young children in harm's way, unless it's a provocation and in invitation for attack?

Reasonable question. The answer is that they are Druze. They believe the land they live on is holy land and part of their religion. They are not Jewish and are a type of offshoot of Islam. Israel asked them to leave as they asked all the Jews to leave the north. Unlike Jewish Israelis, the Druze refused to leave and still refuse to leave.

By definition, when a government asks their citizens to leave for their safety, the government is not using them as human shields. If the people choose to stay and don't have any offensive weapons and are not involved in the fighting or hiding those who are, they are not human shields. One last fun fact, these Druze actually sympathize with the Syrian government and not the Israeli government. That is because the Druze are very loyal and they remember that long ago, Syria controlled that land. So, Hezbollah really killed their own. And again, not human shields. You need to learn some history and some facts before commenting.

The kids were Israeli. Right? Were they not Israeli citizens? And I never said they were being used as human shields. You said Hamas is doing that. I

You need to learn some reading comprehension before commenting.

I'm not sure what reading comprehension you refer to. Maybe you forgot what you wrote.

I clearly made reference to the commenter’s point that Hamas is using children as human shields. So my reply was Hamas and human shields, whatever (is what it is/are what they are). NOT saying the soccer kids were human shields. That doesn’t even make sense. People say Hamas hides in schools, hospitals, etc., where there are kids who die when the IDF launches. Cause they’re in the same building. Who in hell are little kids running around on a field shielding? I can’t believe you took my point that way. Did you stop to think “wait, the kids wouldn’t be shielding anyone…”?

Then I got to my point, which was WTF are those children doing playing soccer in an area that has been targeted. Unless there’s a reason.

Jesus Christ, Oliver, now you want to try to pick a fight with Pink Floyd fans? All the free speech commentators are aghast with the treatment of Roger Waters, but you want to imply he supports Nazis? WTF is wrong with you? He says it's satire. You say that's bullshit, based on......your ultimate knowledge of the universe?

Tucker Carlson goes to Russia, and Jackson Hinkle goes to Venezuela. Both report what they saw. You make fun of both of them because they obviously don't have any clue.

Oliver, have you been to Russia lately? Have you been to Venezuela lately? If not, then shut the fuck up about people who actually have.

Love it! I will NOT allow my deep-seated love for Pink Floyd and anything Pink Floyd to be welcomed to the machine of current day politics! I don't need no education or thoughts control attempts to sully the best band EVER!

Oliver, you've got to be crazy, you've got to have a real need, you should really work on points for style with some other band. Oliver, LEAVE PINK FLOYD ALONE. :-)

Good for Israel! Ismail Haniyeh is arguably a more evil, more dangerous terrorist leader than Osama bin Laden ever was. He's welcome in hell.

As for Europeans not welcoming tourists and a wider backlash against international tourism in general: As with too many other things (Covid!!!), you can blame China. It's not just that rich Chinese are so often pushy and entitled, largely thanks to their coming from a myopic cocoon of CCP privilege and extreme Chinese nationalism - these guys make the infamous but mostly apocryphal "Ugly American" seem downright cuddly and respectful - it's because China's booming wealth over the past 20 years has meant so many more of them are traveling the world.

Edit (8/1): I have to admit that I mistook Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh for Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. While Haniyeh is a POS and his demise is rightfully celebrated, Nasrallah is the bin Laden-level terrorist target and is, unfortunately - for now anyway - still alive.

You will notice that they are not "men" but "dudes." The phrase is actually just another leftist denigration aimed at all white males, and yet these "dudes" are seemingly too clued out to understand their position at the very bottom of the left wing hierarchy.

Some dude on YouTube just said this:

Imprison Trump

Get rid of MAGA

Stack the Supreme Court

Ban voter ID

Abolish the electoral college

Censor free speech

Then we can save, “Our democracy”.

Sounds like a very bad joke, but as the Dude rightly pointed out that’s what Democrats are advocating.

We should be saving our Republic, not a Democracy. We have a Republic, not a Democracy. And while we're on the subject, it is not the "Democratic" party -- it is the Democrat party. Seems to me the standard-bearers for this "party" that doesn't know these differences should be rejected at the polls.
