Although I find the stance and activities of the SJP to be repugnant beyond measure, unless it is shown that they are providing material support to Hamas, I would support SJP's right to protest, just as I supported the ACLU's support of the Nazis to march in front of Holocaust survivors in Skokie.
And I was disappointed in Mr. Shapiro's casual dismissal of the charge of "cancel culture" in the case of the law firms withholding or retracting job offers to Hamas supporters. While they certainly do have the right to do this, this is a textbook example of cancel culture, which happens whenever an entity changes its stance because it is fearful of public response. Hiring a Hamas supporter may not look good, but taking a stance against free expression is arguably worse.
