With each of these challenges, you can either solve around the margins - meaning throw money at it in most cases - or you can get to the heart of the problem. When it comes to the loss of our national character, we have to become a God-fearing country again. There's no returning to a healthy nation without this core piece of our identity.

The fact that the USSR collapsed was disappointing for them, but it wasn't a serious roadblock for their efforts. If anything, it made it easier to push Marxist ideologies with looking like pro-Soviets.
