I think I understand why I'm so uneasy with all the climate change absolutes - when the alternatives to oil are things like covering hillsides in solar panels or burning hundred-year-old-plus forests in Germany, you're not making things better. Paul's thoughts gave me great clarity. Despite the small effects these changes actually have on the planet - they are actually just taxing the planet in other ways. I remain boxed in by the efficiency and energy density of oil and gas.
