My daughter goes to Barnard, she hasn't left her dorm since Thursday am. I have received requests from jewish student groups to shelter terrified Jewish students and faculty also afraid to leave their homes and some of whom have been subjected to death threats. My daughter sent a video taken from her dorm (on 116th st), 2 protesters accosted a jewish student then began ripping down hostage posters on a lamp post he just put up. they shouted "they’re never coming home, they’re dead the way they fucking belong, the only good zionist is a dead zionist" and aggressively shoved a Palestinian flag into his face.

The thing missing from this excellent film is the admission that the administration agrees with the "white oppressor" ideology driving anti-semitism and will not enforce obvious violations of the Columbia/Barnard code of conduct. They have clearly adopted an Animal Farm view of the world, some hate crimes are more equal than others.

The violent rhetoric at these rallies is being vastly under reported. Tensions boiling at this level can easily spill over to serious physical violence. At this point I don't think the feckless administration could put the genie back into the bottle if they wanted to. Until this week, the only students suspended for political activity were Jewish!

I'll finish with my anecdotal observation that the leaders of the protests at Columbia are foreign students and they are using intersectional DEI language to snare a huge number of useful idiots. I'm very curious about who is funding these well coordinated rallies, all questions nobody in the administration seems to have much interest answering. Rosenbury and Shafik are cowards.

As the protesters at Columbia are shouting 'I am Hamas', and Hamas is a recognized and codified terrorist group, we should consider the 'students' terrorists. IF so they should be placed on no fly lists, if they are here on VISAs they should be cancelled, if they hold US passports they should be nullified and they should be treated as terrorists [which I presume would be in conflict with be matriculated at Columbia]. Time to link their words with consequences!

The professor from Columbia needed far more pushback than the got. I think the reporter was intimidated by him. His bullshit was clearly antisemitic and I wish she had pushed him harder.

Columbia/Barnard administration has done NOTHING about the increasingly violent rhetoric from these people, other than lying about it to Congress. It's a disgrace.

Really nice work, Olivia, as always. The incredible vitriol, unabashed anti-Semitism and willingness to deny reality shown by so many of these people is proof of what I've often said: Ignorance (and outright stupidity), when unchecked for too long, always turns to evil.

The pro-Palistine lemmings out in force yesterday in Los Angeles looked as performative as they did in the BLM protests of 2020. Carefully curated outfits, selfies and smiles, convincing themselves they are the smart, the concerned, the politically active.

All I could think is to drop one in the east side of London (nevermind a full-on Muslim theocracy) so they could experience the Muslim community's reaction to their short shorts, alt-haircuts, androgeny; -their freedom.

I thank the history teacher I had in HS who told me when you surround yourself with people who all think alike, no one is thinking critically and you are in danger.

This was incredible. It is sad that we allowed certain populations to immigrate to this country who hate us and our principles. This is a Judeo-Christian country. Our values and rights need to be respected. So many people are just not educated well, even at Columbia, and think that the world is literally black and white, good vs. evil. They need to look in the mirror and see their own evil.

Stunning is all I can say.

If one is interested in one hypothesis regarding how education and society have been corrupted, check out "The Miseducation of America" on Fox Nation. Before you respond that "it's Fox", open your mind to an alternative view of how we got here. After you watch it, then post your reaction.

How did our universities become hotbeds of hate?

I wonder if there is ANY correlation to the number of Democrats each university has on staff...?

Hmmmmm.... you'd think that the people at the Democratic Party Rehabilitation Project (aka The Free Press) would want to know...!

I disagree that Gen Z is the most educated.

The standards and expectations for education have gone down dramatically over the past 40 years and been replaced with indoctrination in a group think, for the most part.

In my interactions with these youth, including, sadly, my own, they seem incapable of discussing facts, and not feelings. It’s sadly like a religion to many.

There is mutually rewarding relations between authoritarian Government and Academia personnel: Government dole grants to academics in proportion to those who support its agendas vs those who does not, academics of various standing do research & teaching largely in support of government policies using those grants to advance their academic carriers : is it publications and teaching anthropogenic climate wealth redistribution, normalization of death of nuclear family in the West, propagandizing CRT, race and gender studies, painting western civilization as World oppressor, singing praise to multiculturalism, wokism and "need" for open borders society and other socialist born topics that are in vogue in both Government and Academia over last 15 years.

On top of that de-merit efforts of those running Universities admissions resulted in students body with lesser level of critical thinking on a part of student body.

Combination of above resulted in illiberal body of most of academia, (teachers, students and administrative apparatus) favoring socialist agenda and consequently authoritarian regime either in academia itself or in the government. This in my humble opinion is scarier topic than antisemitism of the left (one can look up stats on political leaning of Academic personnel through their political donation to see 9:1 left bias, which BTW explain traditionally antisemitic bent of the left)

Powerful 20 minutes - good summary. Probably won't be watched by anyone that is part of the problem but thank you for making.

Please review Woke Kindergarten an educational consultant firm for elementary schools. It is introducing abolitionist education that promotes anti semItism and promotes a belief that whites make rules to oppress black and brown people. https://www.wokekindergarten.org/
