I cannot think of any socialist enterprise, from Stalin’s Bolshevik socialism, to Hitler’s National Socialism, to Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge socialism, and many more that did not sell their vision in such utopian terms. That Ben Kawaller could once have suckered by such marketing of evil demonstrates a dangerous level of historic illiteracy. While I greatly admire his newfound conversion from socialism to realism, I am amazed that he could ever have been tempted by such a pedestrian marketing campaig.
