The US' non-interventionist-ish decision on this war still baffles me. Our greatest ally in the middle east, the most unstable resource rich region in the world, was viciously & unprovokingly attacked resulting in more than a thousand raped, tortured, abducted, & killed and we sit here condemning them for hitting back at the aggressors? Calling for a "two state solution"? 1. Hamas will NEVER accept a two-state solution, so US politicians need to stop saying 'I support a two-state solution' that isn't a solution. 2. Even if Hamas DID accept that, why should they be rewarded with their own state after this? Is this the image we want to show the world? When one of our greatest allies is attacked, we barely lift a finger and try to convince said ally to cede land/resources to the terrorists? If this happened to the United States would any of us be okay ceding land and rights to the organization that just attacked us and would be bordering with us? Would we ever feel safe?
