The comments that rebut my point are of merit. However, sorry to say that although I know war always includes civilian casualties, I see no goal on how to get a peaceful solution. I do not think the Israelis can shoot their way out of this. There are always hopeless and hateful replacements for Hamas.

At some point, a strong leader on both sides (I do not believe Netanyahu is the right person) must be willing to take the risk and compromise (Sadat/Begin)
This is all about Iran. Until the murderous mullahs are no longer running that country, peace in the Middle East and the world is impossible. And if you think a 2-state solution is viable, you are very, very wrong. Iran doesn't want it because they want to kill Jews worldwide.
