Don’t be. Tyler is the real deal, a true polymath with an extraordinarily high level of intellectual integrity, a brilliant interviewer, and a great sense of humor, unlike many of the people working at the New York Times. You’re in for a treat.
Welcome to FP. I am thrilled to hear that TC will a regular, as I have been impressed by his guest appearances on a number of podcasts.
I don't want to live in 'the echochamber' of legacy media, and I value the efforts of the FP to bring a stellar cast of contributors to share their opinions.
Welcome Tyler! I’m looking forward to reading your column.
I wish I could be at Thursday’s live event. It is happening too early for me to attend. It would be great if live events could be held a little later in the day, so that those of us on the West Coast could join after work.
I am excited to see the FP, which I subscribed to early on, bring on exciting new voices. Many of these, like Tyler and Niall, are people I had also found and followed independently on the web. Having felt disenfranchised for so long, I now have some hope that there is a critical mass of moderate, pragmatic, and independent minds out there that are beginning to exert real influence. Carry on!
Looking forward to this addition!
Working for The NY Times amd Bloomberg Opinion makes me a little leery.

I don’t comment much on line. That said, … 🙄
I’m relatively new as a FP subscriber. I’m reasonably familiar with TC’s work and I’m HAPPY to see that he’s ‘here’.
‘comparative advantage’
Maybe it doesn’t matter anymore. Or …
Thanks, Mr. Cowen, for what you’ll bring. Cheers!

Nice! This isn't an April Fools' prank, is it?

My two favorite things to read each day are the FP and Marginal Revolution. I am thrilled that Tyler is here.
I'm proud to say I'm an early subscriber to the FP and feel it is my responsibility to keep you all honest! :D
I’m not familiar with your work but you worked for the NYT so I’m hoping you left the hard left philosophy that that rag publishes in your old desk.
"tell me you don't know Tyler Cowen without telling me you don't know Tyler Cowen"
relax.
Not everyone who worked for the NYTimes is a "hard left philosophy", com'on dude. Also Bari worked for the NYTimes.
I’ll wait and see. Bari was very left until they came for her. TFP has had a much more liberal slant in the past few months.

Love this!! Huge fan, Tyler!
Awesome! Great addition.
Looking forward to this! Thank you, Tyler!!!
I’m always interested in what Tyler thinks. Great addition.
This startup culture is becoming quite a thing. I wonder what the NGO Industrial Complex thinks about it.
Welcome aboard, Tyler. Failure is not an option.
