In your next round of hiring, can you please give some consideration to bringing on someone who can write about what’s going on in the arts? Critical Social Justice activism is alive and well here but gets little coverage. Think of all the art you don’t get to see because the CSJ acolytes on grant panels reject the applications, all the plays that aren’t produced because artistic directors shut the doors over identity concerns, not to mention the “training” artists receive that is focused less on mastery of skills and more on activism. It would be nice to see an alternative to arts coverage outside of NYTimes.
