Yep, the same way I hate Hitler, Stalin, Putin, and all despots and wannabes. I might remind you that Hitler was much admired for making Germany great again before he destroyed it.

So Trump is angry at Russia and Iran. Maybe they can curry favor with hundreds of cherry trees like the Japanese before bombing Pearl Harbor and shaking us out of the original “America First” movement and into WWII. Trump is already jailing and deporting dissidents. He is building up our military. Is war in the future? Watch for the gift of a Trojan Horse from Russia, Iran, North Korea, or China.

Whenever I hear someone say, "two wrongs don't make a right" in the context of politics, I know I'm listening to either the person who committed the first wrong, or someone on the side of the person who committed the first wrong.

These 1 paragraph news stories are an embarrassment. The layoffs at usaid is what all the msm outlets say is why the US failed. And FP follows suit. What about the millions we gave to Thailand for them to help. Kind of like giving money to the states instead of federal bureaucracy to the rescue.

Expand full comment

Do you have a source for that? And why should Thailand be the form we give aid to a country?

I am rethinking my TFP subscription… yes I am a liberal. And experienced the wrath of Reagan on the social services/rehabilitation world. I saw services eliminated to folks desiring to get back into the workforce after adjusting to a disability. I negotiated with public school officials to support the rights of students with disabilities. These type of programs (that never really recovered) are currently being threatened again,,,and telling the states to cover the additional cost of these services will only place those individuals with the greatest need in dire jeopardy.

Talk to us about education? Healthcare?

Can anyone tell me what the hell "indirect negotiations" are?

War in Big Law is outlawed by the Hobbs Act (20 years) see 18 USC 1951 “ under color of official right”

In Gambno crime family lingo a “ shakedown “ Trump’s mentor Roy Cohn was the consigliere of the Gambino family.

So we should waste countless millions of dollars , employing thousands of useless people, just in case there is a natural disaster somewhere else in the world? By the time those dolts immobilize with massive unnecessary cost, remedies will already be in place, probably led by the Israelis.

Nobody said DOGE was perfect, but you have to start someplace, cutting the waste or else we will be saddling future generations with insurmountable debt. Things and processed can be added back.

What almost never is discussed in traditional press is that the USA just can’t continue to run a 6-7% deficit @ full employment!

What is it that people don’t understand….?

Expand full comment

How much of the US spending is taken in by all that employment? How much actually, considering we run a several trillion dollar deficit, that means a lot of money.

No surprise that the vindictive tyrant continues his vendetta against those who stand in his way to rule America. He mirrors the Roman Emperor Caligula who famously said about his opponents, "Let them hate us as long as they fear us."

You are right about Biden, who used the DOJ to go after Trump, his supporters, parents who criticized school board policies, and Catholics who opposed abortion.

You get no applause for your whataboutisms.

The far left policies of the Biden Administration elected Trump. Kamala couldn’t think of a single Biden policy she disagreed with and then wondered why she lost.

The Democrats have only themselves to blame for Trump’s victory. And now they have become violently deranged. Trump is mostly bluster; the new left is downright dangerous.

In this sense it means that you end up both being the same in the long run it seems. Though I doubt either of you see it that way.

So, I'm assuming that you don't like your president. Sorry.

"Don't like" is too polite.

I can think of only three ways for Trump to serve a third term as President: repeal the 22d Amendment to the Constitution: serve as Vice President for JD Vance and become President if Vance dies or vacates the office; and overthrow the government which he has already tried.

Your hatred is so loud I can’t hear what you’re saying. It doesn’t matter to you if Trump does a great job or not, you NEED to hate him. Outcome is irrelevant. Trump hate is your true driving force.

Myanmar (formerly Burma) is a brutal military dictatorship. I'm sorry that many people were killed or injured there, but I see no reason to add to our $36 trillion debt to aid that country.

Re: Gaza Protests Against Hamas.

Maybe I missed it. Where were all of the demonstrations across the US in support of the people Gaza who want Hamas to leave?

and before this, were there reports?

The more that I think about it it gets sicker and sicker. All of the bleeding hearts who claimed to care about the people of Gaza have gone mute. I know that it’s a waste of words but where is the media on this. I guess that when the Jews can’t be blamed there’s no story.

The left still doesn’t understand Trump and they never will. They’re so used to their girly men they can control so they have no idea what to do with a man who does what he says. He trolls them daily and they continue freaking out. Their hatred for Trump and Alpha Males prevents them from rational thought and coming up with a coherent plan to counter him and his policies. Their performance art and violence only shows their desperation, their hatred for us will not allow them to pivot and rebrand their party

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood to watch them crash and burn.

Hey- why no story on the Columbia president’s resignation? You’d think you’d want to take credit…the “campus in crisis” section is awfully quiet.

Edited to add that today’s article on Harvard does mention the resignation.
