It is irresponsible to repeat and amplify the poisonous and unsupported character assassination from Caroline Kennedy. Why is her opinion newsworthy?

Freedom of speech +

Freedom of the Press.

That’s what you signed up for. No?

No, I signed up for responsible and thoughtful journalism. In free a society, people are allowed to do and say things that are wrong. Freedom to do something wrong does convert the wrong act into a good act. Is that controversial?

Legit? She has intimate knowledge of his character and behavior. Dear god, man- the FP is about reporting the facts.

These are not facts. These are Ms Kennedy's opinions with a smattering of assertions of fact. And the statements are so venomous as to indicate significant bias. Back in the day (e.g., read All The President's Men by Woodward and Bernstein), one person's story was not suitable to be published unless the reporter could find independent verification. Can we verify that RFK Jr was responsible for the addictive behaviors of other family members? That his ownership of birds of prey reveal a character flaw (particularly ridiculous)? That he created chaos wherever he went (Lucifer is a piker!)?

Who is she to judge his character? I don't recall her denouncing her debauching father and uncle or decrying their lust for fame and power. I thought those were Kennedy family traits. She was selected as an Ambassador on her name, not any achievements of her own. Happy to be proven wrong if you can name any.

Her father and uncle do not currently pose a threat to the well being of the country. Many believe her cousin now does. That's why she has chosen to speak out. And as for her achievements, I suppose being an attorney, writer, and editor who has served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations may count for very little in your book, but for the rest of us, her contributions to our society matter.

It's pretty easy to serve on the boards of no-profits when your name is Kennedy.

"Threat to the well-being of the country"... isn't that a little overblown?
