Seriously. I told my daughter that it was going to be horrible and is one of our burden, as women, to bear. There is a sisterhood she will join and we can all be there to support each other. It is more honest and then she won't wonder why she is "different" if she doesn't experience the "beauty" of having one's period. Then comes my husband to tell her that I am wrong and I should tell her how wonderful it is to have a period and to be a woman. While I agree it is wonderful to be who we are, I almost strangled him.
