A very poignant story. I would urge Roxanne to postpone breast reconstruction until the full effects of hormones are stabilized and she has lived and enjoyed her detransition and become comfortable with her resurrected self. As a breast cancer survivor, I have seen several partial and full mastectomy patients forego reconstructive surgery - which is never perfect and often not attractive and further ties one to the medical establishment for more years than they wish to spend. (Remember this is the same medical establishment that facilitated/encouraged the original transition.) Focus on accepting yourself, getting on with life and finding fulfillment in friends and family and then if it's still that important, go for the reconstruction. Just don't let the absence of breasts get in the way of being comfortable with yourself.

I also think there is more and more evidence that the implants and the plastic in them cause medical issues. I have a friend who is having her implants removed because she is systemically sick and they can't figure it out except for her implants.

I also wonder if they use bioidentical hormones or synthetic? I am on bioidentical hormone replacement knowing that synthetic hormones have lots of toxic side effects.

Synthetic hormones have always been a drug in search of a market. They've found it ($$$) with "Gender Identity".
