I'm not so sure it's a bad thing that college students won't have to pay for their time in school. It's not like they're getting an education. They come out of it dumber than when they went in. Let his be a lesson to America: If you want kids to pay their way through college, give them an actual education! ;/
I really like the Free Press, but I worry they're getting too biased on this topic. I honestly don't know which side (Palestinians / Israelis) has the moral high-ground. But in trying to understand, I see things that make me think the Free Press isn't being fair on this story.
Our family did the college tours in the midst of 2009-2010& 11 meltdown. but on college campus’s there was no recession but a boom of construction. For research centers, science advancement for the betterment of mankind-NOT!! It was marked by spa like resort student centers, luxury dorms and untold amenities, funded by federal loan money.
It is unconscionable that universities don’t have financial skin in the game. they should have to pay a portion back for the substandard product they sold- a worthless degree, producing an uneducated citizen that a democracy needs to survive.
About Jane's cold prevention remedy, I can concur with the regimen, except that I substitute for the curry with a substantial bourbon portion while in the very hot bath. Eight to 10 hours of solid sleep should do it, but only because I don't usually have time to sleep or stay in bed for 12 hours!
Go Ben! Way to wade into downtown SLC during conference week. Hat tip to the momo's among whom I lived peacefully among for over 20 years while not sharing their faith. I found (most of them) to be highly accountable. That is why when I read in the MSM (who did zero fact checking even though the event was televised/recorded) that at a BYU basketball game, black players on an opposing team were heckled by white fans in the stands. My first thought was: That. Didn't. Happen. It turns out, it didn't.
I was also glad to see honest answers to the question, Why are you LDS/atheist? from both sides: Because I was raised that way. It is also nice that you included the clip about common ground. Love God first was a miss for you two, but love your fellow man is a shared belief. Maybe that is a good starting point. Pithy, hilarious and enlightening. I can't wait to see where Ben goes next.
Can the police not see who of these protesters are on a visa into the US and revoke their visas, putting them on a one way ticket back to where ever they came from?
Why is this any different from storming the Capital on Jan 6? Illegal trespassing, disturbing the peace, damaging private property.. the list goes on and on…
If you don’t know what river and what sea, if you don’t know what that original Hamas charter said, if you don’t know which party rejected peace in 1948, 2000 and 2008 then you aren’t really protesting the Gaza war, you’re joining a commune for whatever your real purpose is
Let’s all stand and cheer the brownshirts goose stepping in! How else are the cops going to use their GI Joe body armor and urban assault vehicles than to show a lame bunch of long-hairs what’s what. That’s not NYPD PROUD, that’s NYPD WTF.

It's a long tradition of American college students -- cause a sit-in just prior to final exams.
Another A+ Ben Meets America! He is a great street interviewer. Kind, funny, and smart.

For example, contrast the definition for intifada in this Free Press article - "a call for globalizing a campaign of terror aimed at killing Jews" - with the one in this article: https://forward.com/culture/573654/intifada-arabic-israeli-hamas-war-meaning-linguistics/
I come to the Free Press hoping to not be deceived by the press as we are with main stream media. Please be careful to keep your reputation.
Important note: Some of them are white!!

Good question, but my degrees are in Materials Science! 😇. Probably the same way the handle it with wind turbines. And it’s probably DC current.
