Go Ben! Way to wade into downtown SLC during conference week. Hat tip to the momo's among whom I lived peacefully among for over 20 years while not sharing their faith. I found (most of them) to be highly accountable. That is why when I read in the MSM (who did zero fact checking even though the event was televised/recorded) that at a BYU basketball game, black players on an opposing team were heckled by white fans in the stands. My first thought was: That. Didn't. Happen. It turns out, it didn't.
I was also glad to see honest answers to the question, Why are you LDS/atheist? from both sides: Because I was raised that way. It is also nice that you included the clip about common ground. Love God first was a miss for you two, but love your fellow man is a shared belief. Maybe that is a good starting point. Pithy, hilarious and enlightening. I can't wait to see where Ben goes next.
