Immigrants are a reflection of the insatiable demand for new workers by the U.S. job market and the continuous supply of workers coming in to fill those jobs.

When the supply of legal immigrants is kept artificially low by U.S. policy (it is), the remaining immigrants coming to help U.S. employers expand are reduced (needlessly) to coming in illegally.

The solution is simple. Increase the number of legal immigrants, in order to fully meet the demand for workers by U.S. employers, and the incentive for immigrants to enter the U.S. illegally will largely be eliminated.

With virtually all immigrant workers entering the nation legally, the border patrol will have plenty of available resources to focus successfully on the few illegals who are legitimate criminals entering the U.S. for nefarious reasons.
