I remember a pickup truck driving through my town displaying just the kind of portrayal of Obama you describe in point 3 at large scale. Horrifying. I have doubts that the whole Republican party, or even its majority, feels those ways or does those things (my parents in their 80s are both enthusiastic Republicans, and display a Trump flag, yet definitely do not partake of such repugnant ways), but I'm sure there are some awful members of the party who do indeed match this description. I may be wrong, but I'm guessing it's a fringe demographic. But what percent of the total GOP those reprehensible people represent, I do not know. The rest of us would like it if they changed their ways.
Well, America survived 8 years of the first DEI President.
Pretty sure we can survive 4 years of the next one.
And if the Republicans take the Senate sheтАЩll spend four years as nothing more than the latest source material for the writers at SNL.
I'm sure that'll happen, Robert.
Very well supported, thorough and cogent commentary. Permit me to simplify...
You're right. They didn't call Obama a "DEI."
They just claimed:
1. Wasn't a U.S. Citizen.
2. He hates white people and want to put them in camps.
3. Regularly portrayed him, his wife and children as monkeys.
"DEI" was not a term during his presidenncy. But it is now.
"DEI" means "N-----"
"Woke" means "N----- Lover."
"Critical Race Theory" means, "N----- History"
So, the GOP/MAGA calling Harris a "DEI" candidate has NOTHING to do with her being female and everything to do with her skin color.
