The people of the United States are already free so I don’t quite know why the Democrats are asking if they are ‘ready for freedom’.

Like everything in the Democratic platform, there seems to be some sort of approved hierarchy that defines elements included in their agenda - freedom is now being assigned to such a scale at the top of which is the version approved by by the progressive element of the party.

The implication is that the existing level of freedom can be improved if only by endorsing Democratic government oversight. - trusting government to deliver a better freedom than that that currently exists.

This despite every indication to date that the opposite outcome is likely to result - that freedoms will be selectively prescribed to suit the progressive agenda.
