I think what you missed in your discussion of the protests in Britain is the concept of two tiered policing. There is a belief and it looks as if it has some merit that anglo britons and muslim immigrants are being treated very differently in the judicial system with preferential treatment being given to the muslim contingent. Similar to the Imane Khalif uproar, the incident itself, in this case the tragic murder of children was a catalyst for driving frustration about a larger more complex issue.
