This was so excellent! It's hard to live in our complicated world. Understanding what is going on is so difficult. Haviv Rettig Gur resonated with truth. Thanks! Your whole series was illuminating, opening my eyes.

I really liked this and the previous episode a lot. I learned a lot and can only recommend for everyone to listen to it.

Fascinating insights from Haviv Rettig Gur. The Biden administration should take heed of his description of what Iran is trying to do in the Middle East. Maybe then they would not funnel Billions to the Mullahs while laundering aid money through the UN to UNWRA and it's kind to terror groups like Hamas, the PA, and Hizballah-- naw, sorry, they know the money is going to kill Jews and US Soldiers. Why would the administration care now?

Excellent and informative interview of Haviv Rettig Gur by Bari Weiss. I was surprised though by Weiss’ referring to Trump as a threat to democracy, a major Democratic Party talking point. I have found Weiss to be pretty neutral when she is interviewing people, which is one of the reasons I respect her as much as I do. Certainly we all have a right to our own opinion on this, but as a fellow journalist, I myself veer away from revealing my own opinions in a situation like this. Maybe I’m just old school. I’m still a Weiss loyalist and an avid listener. Like Weiss, Gur is worth listening to over and over again.

I think this is the most important piece TFP has done on the current war and the situation across the Middle East. I already know a lot of the material but he was able to connect dots and articulate the main issue so clearly. This needs to be amplified so much.

There were so many parts of this I wanted to write down. Can you release the transcript?

I second the request for transcripts!

No going to lie. I've done a lot of audio mixing. That baby crying in the background was carefully mixed in. It was not organic.

This smacks of propaganda. You're trying to manipulate people. Don't even try to deny it.

Cut it out.

Brilliant series with people much smarter than me sharing information and their opinions. As an American Jew, I have been horrified that the liberal groups I have supported for so long have turned to Hamas and away from Israel. I have recommended this podcast to every Jewish person I know. Thank you for establishing this platform.

This NEEDS to be spread around.

The thing so many people (*mainly on The Left) don't understand is the same ideology behind 10-7-23 was behind 9-11-01. The gu you have to look at is Hassan al-Banna. He founded The Muslim Brotherhood in 1928. In the modern world He's they guy who stated it all.

*On The Right The Narrative is its Islam, Islam is The Enemy (see Robert Spencer). Well it is AND Its not.

I'm an Israeli who lives with my family in Haifa Israel. Bari, I think the Free Press in Israel was a great success and that you managed to show Israel to your readership as it truly is. The one failure is that you only talked with Israeli's who were Left or Center Left. You needed at least some discussions with the Right and the Center Right who make up the majority of our population.

In any regard thank you for the outstanding coverage.

All Israeli citizens, jews and a couple more "tribes" are required to serve in the military. As in conscription, it isn't 100% that go in. But the stories we heard on here shows once trained, most are ready to go.

There are up to 377 million guns in this country.

It is important to note that, while the results were shocking overall, many did say that they would stand and defend the United States from any invader. When asked this question 68 percent of Republicans and 57 percent of Independents say that they would fight. However more than half of Democrats (52%) said they would flee before fighting for their country (Eight percent did not have an answer, a shrug that is equally alarming). https://jonathanturley.org/2022/03/13/poll-almost-half-of-american-say-that-they-would-rather-flee-than-defend-the-united-states/

In 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau counted 331.4 million people living in the United States; more than three-quarters (77.9%) or 258.3 million were adults

Estimate of Dem voters. around 49 (Gallup 44) million. that makes 25+million cowards.

19.6 dems. will fight.

38.8 (Gallup says 45) Republicans, so you get 26.3 million who will fight.

35.3 as independants = 20+ willing to fight.

total willing to fight, 69 +/- willing to fight. That's 5 guns per fighter and who knows what other weapons. Red Dawn was a good movie as was the Man in the Chair. both predicted we would lose the battle for our country. A good story line to draw in movie goers but hardly realistic. I rest fairly easily knowing that with that many guns and that many willing to fight, I doubt any country could invade and defeat us. Unless of course the Dems are in charge. Way different numbers from our revolution and Israel's also. 69 million is a lot of patriots, many trained and all fighting for the most precious people and country in their life. Highly motivated.

Israel was lulled into a false sense of security. They will win but it will be costly. (mainly to the Palestinians) Even if we keep electing the incompetents who can't even withdrawal from a third world country without death and chaos, we will, in the end, be fine. The runners can keep running to, or be sent to the country of their choice but not this one. Or they could volunteer to be used as Hamas uses the Palestinians.

Not all of the above is tongue in cheek. It would be up to the runners to find out what is and what isn't.
