Students of history know well that when free countries underarm and hope and wish and give concessions to maintain peace with ruthless regimes, war always follows. Given the feckless leadership of the U.S., the Biden Administration in particular, we are closer to a WW III than we have ever been. In the rear view mirror of the smoke and ruin that likely lays ahead, deterrence will look to have been a better course.
