When you said in the program that people don't have to exercise or change their diet you are very very wrong. I have to keep logs of my exercise and logs of what I eat. If Doctors are prescribing it without talking about lifestyle changes then they are not doing their jobs. I can also whole heartly agree with the statement that without the drug your cravings for food come back ten fold.
Yes, these drugs work by making you less hungry. I haven't been on Ozempic specifically but have been in drug trials for this class of drugs. These drugs make you feel fuller longer and make you feel full quicker when you do eat they can have side effects like making you want to throw up which will of course also makes you eat less. The only side effect I have experienced is constipation which is easily fixed by putting MiraLAX in my daily protein shake. I agree with the guest that thinks these drugs will make little kids hooked on these drugs for life. I have to take 3 months off in between drug trails and my hungry comes back ten fold during those months. Also, I have never lost more than 30 mounds on any of these meds. Again I am in drug trails so might be getting very low dosage of the meds or placebos. I am a blue color worker as I am sure you can tell with my lack of writing skills and can not afford these meds so get them by doing these trails. I am 5 foot 8 inches and currently 270 pounds and was put on my first diet at the age of 12. I believe in the podcast Bari was the one that said people are losing weight without having to diet or exercise lucky them. All 3 drug trails I have been in I have had to keep logs of my diet and my exercise the drugs are suppose to be used with diet and exercise not in place of them.

So the way this drug works is by appetite suppression, thus resulting in a calorie deficit? This was unclear to me in the article.

Thanks for that explanation. So, in summary, disciplined eating (or, reduced eating actually) could accomplish the same results if one could do it?
yes
Thanks, I learned a lot from your replies.
