Concerning Islamist terror threats, I think it's important to note that those assassins are more like hyenas than lions - they are only successful when their target stands alone. So, on Busy Biden: why would he bother to debate Trump? Trump, correctly, decided there was no upside to him debating other Republicans in the primaries. Similarly, for Biden, there is no point in him debating Trump. Trump typically makes a couple of good points that get drowned in a stream of consciousness/wall of noise of near nonsense and misrepresentation. Biden is mostly a terrible debater. Presidential debates have become pure (bad) theater and have no substantive value. Neither Trump nor Biden is likely to change anyone's mind. So, there is only downside for Biden. Same rationale as Trump in the primaries.
