"“I would say that Russia is becoming a bastion of Christianity and that America is becoming the opposite of this.” "
Well, ok. But what you would say may well be something you wouldn't or couldn't say tomorrow. Not that the US is a shining example of free speech but c'mon, Russia. They don't even pay lip service.
The Russian Orthodox Church, (are you Orthodox?) has a very long history, mostly, excepting the Soviets, of being a strong supporter of power, of whomever can maintain control of Russia, rather than a history of a strong spine.
I wish you best of luck. Hope you don't find yourself arrested. Or was this article an effort to avoid that fate?
Unfortunately, if (when) Kamala becomes President-her behind the scenes vindictiveness will wreak havoc on independent media. She will elevate NPR and label everything else “disinformation”. Part of the problem is that she doesn’t realize she is lacking the qualities needed for governance.
Loving the “recommends” especially anything TV/Movie related. There are so many good “old” TV/Movies we can watch today that we would have never had access to before - the 90’s “cult classic” only came about because of VHS. We totally have that today but how much have we gone down the rabbit hole of the pre-VHS era? There could be GOLD??? Who knows but I like the idea of going back and seeing. We had our kids watch some 90’s sitcoms and they were in LOVE - nothing like that today. Next step is to have them watch 80’s sitcoms then they will fully appreciate the “very special episode” reference. lol.
At this point, the Pulitzer Prizes are newsworthy only to news organizations. They carry all the gravitas of a McDonald's Happy Meal.
My interest in an analysis of the Kendrick Lamar/Drake spat is actually slightly lower than a recap of the Pulitzers. I don't want to make the mistake of expecting everything in the TFP to be relevant, but some of these daily recap featured pieces remind me of waiting in line at the grocery checkout with The National Enquirer staring me in the face.
In this day and age, most of the information we are exposed to is spun, manipulated or distorted to influence us for political and/or profit ambitions.
Very little of what we hear or see is neutral or accurate.
We are bombarded with opinions that are rendered to shape our perspectives on issues and, while we have the opportunity to critique or contradict such opinions, the ‘community standards’ used to moderate comment often go beyond the preservation of decency and are used to censor contentious observations.
In spite of these issues most people remain addicted to media.
They tend to watch or listen to media that reinforces their biases.
The media has responded in kind - most notably, the efforts to garner conservative or liberal audiences has accelerated significantly.
Stroking biases is simply very profitable for private sector as well as public sector media (public media is financed by governments that who fund according to their benefit from the particular bias).
The only means of garnering actual truth from today’s media kids to first identify the intention of the in formation being distributed - how is it attempting to influence your thinking.
The stock in trade media mechanism for keeping audience share is the stoking of self-righteous indignation - provoking an emotional reaction to information.
This mechanism is what keeps us addicted to the media - emotional stimulus.
The media plays on our sense of victimization.
The message most often communicated is how we are being victimized by government, big business, big pharma, etc.
The media has also taken up the Marxist inspired messages of guilt (critical theory) which posits that the current white population is responsible for the historic maltreatment of non-white populations and that the population in general is expediting a climate Armageddon.
The emotion conveyed in the delivery of such information is taken up by media consumers who often parrot it to others simply because it suits their particular biases - biases often based on previous media information.
Over the past four decades, our public and private institutions have become larded with those exposed to Marxist indoctrination in the course of their education.
This has resulted in the evolution of the progressive ‘woke’ class which demands conformity in exchange for membership in club of self-anointed moral and intellectual societal overseers.
The media is also larded with this element and, as a result, it has accepted conformity with and and support for the progressive agenda.
The bottom line is that in order to be even moderately well informed about gathering world around us,
it is essential to carefully vet the emotion laden information that we are fed in the effort to shape what we think - most importantly, to avoid being morally and intellectually bullied by those who ultimately see us as their lessers.
When enough people subscribe or are forced to dogma that does not meet the acid test of common sense and truth, suppression ensues.

#1- Drake is Jewish so if you don't take his side, you're an anti-Semitic Nazi of the third order.
#2- William F, Buckley should be required reading.
#3- Jewish stories are not as significant to the world as other things. Better to believe Hamas propaganda than arrive at the truth.
Today’s media does so much to divide this country. 99% of us get along just swimmingly and that bothers them.
I don’t really give a rat’s ass about either rapper’s petty personal grievances. I’m the public display of enmity is lucrative for both however… Next!

And how many Afghanis did he help flee their country? That alone is an amazing story and accomplishment.
If we hadn't gone in and screwed everything up they wouldn't need to flee, so there's always that
that dream was exactly that - a dream. of some people in another era. then it got esconced into pol rhetoric
What dream exactly? and wtf is a you toober?
