Every story on TFP mentions 1,400 Israeli dead from Oct 7.

I never seem to see the articles describing the 11,000+ dead in Gaza. Must be looking in the wrong place. Or on the wrong site.

So in other words the (generic) "free press" is no longer "free"- and hasn't been for a long time.

I just would like to hear the full, contextualized story- and THEN if you want to offer an opinion- fine. But the blatant lies, omissions, and sensationalizing is unacceptable

Yep, at last resort, blame the evil US for anything and others will join in. The UN no longer serves any useful purpose.

I think that Newsome is going to ask Xi for some tips on how to finish their high-speed rail connection. Also, with the military to military communications, China needs to know if they're still getting a heads up in the event of a U.S. attack? And if not how much money do they need to send to Hunter's cutout companies.

Thank you. This is the kind of hard-digging reporting that we need, and which we used to be able to rely upon MSM to deliver, before they got ideologically captured. Keep it up.

Wonderful picture of Neville Roy Singham and Jodie Evans.

Is there a word for something that is both tragic and hilarious? If there is, it would describe aging hippies. You would think that at least these two would be able to afford a mirror.

Maybe it's not their fault. They might have been overcome by patchouli fumes.

OPTICS ILLUSIONs

Ok, let’s examine where the scales of life and death sit today, 11-15-23 am.

50 hostages vs release of untold imprisoned women and kids (how young does Israel incarcerate anyway?)

Plus the bonus of a three day catch your breath PAUSE, (no longer valid to call it ‘humanitarian’ since the IDF proved you don’t need a quid pro quo to behave humanely) so Hamas can refresh at a long weekend barbecue (Sorry, too soon?)?

No list of all hostage names (so there’s no BBC-like misreading, I won’t say “list released”). Every negotiation requires proof of life; I watch movies too. Is the hesitation excusable because Hamas doesn’t know the names of all the Hostages? Since, of course, they can’t ask the dead ones. And they can’t cross- reference posters that are continually getting pulled off Lampposts. Tell you what, we’ll accept a video of every hostage. Timestamp it. Even show us the faces of the corpses, so families can start getting closure. Is that an inhumane negotiating demand?

(side thought: Now that she’s successfully concluded negotiations with Hollywood, why don’t we send Fran Drescher to fight our fight?)

Do you think the progress on these negotiations has something to do with Biden‘s release of $10 billion of seized Iranian assets yesterday?

Does the released billions also have something to do with the Ayatollah’s announcement this morning that he ain’t coming to Hamas’ defense? Or is that because his scientists are running behind on his development of nukes schedule?

Would you take that announcement to the Bidennomics bank, or wipe yourself with the paper It isn’t written on?

Wouldn’t the $10 billion have been better spent on rebuilding Gaza?

Just wondering.

"What Xi Jinping presumably wants to achieve in his visit is not actually speaking to Biden, but speaking to American businessmen.

What Newsom wants to achieve is appearing presidential and "international". Don't we somewhat expect him to be swapped in as the Democrat candidate for president around maybe August?

Now, on the Republican side I have to bring up the FP darling, Nikki Haley.

"Haley said that if she were to become president, her second priority—after forcing the platforms to disclose their algorithms—would be to require name verification of all social media users.

"It's a national security threat," she said. "It gets rid of the Russian bots, the Iranian bots, and the Chinese bots. And then, you're going to get some civility, when people know their name is next to what they say.""...

"anonymity is a cherished aspect of political speech, and rightly so. Sometimes, people have important truths to tell but for various reasons cannot risk attaching their names to their words. As noted by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R–Fla.) and Vivek Ramaswamy—two of Haley's rivals for the GOP nomination—anonymous speech was an integral part of the U.S.'s founding: James Madison published the Federalist Papers under a pseudonym, for instance."

Maybe this is why I could not find her mentioned today. I hope more people understand what a terrible president she would be. She would compel us all to be "civil" just like Biden brought us "together". Our names could be listed and then we'd be toast for "misgendering" or whatever the compelled speech of the moment is. What a clever lady!

The problem is not as much the billionaires playing Left/Right games with their money (they are human beings with self-interest) is that we allow them to be created in the first place. There is nothing wrong with capitalism and making money, but there is everything wrong with being able to amass and hoard the vast amount of money it takes to make a billionaire. Rather than tear down capitalism, and more importantly, allowing others to tear it down completely because of this gross inequity, why don't we just fix it? Because it's like the lottery, everyone believes they will one day win, too.

Two things - I was at the inspirational rally yesterday at the National Mall. To see all of my fellow Jews and even non-Jews gathering to support Israel, well, it brought a tear to my eye. Baruch Hashem it was a beautiful weather day to boot.

Other thing is that Obama should keep his mouth shut. He's fomented Jewish-hatred around the world. It took him 17 days after October 7th to make a statement regarding the Hamas barbarism and he was calling for moral equivalence. Thanks to Obama (and to some degree Biden) for releasing money to Iran. Thanks guys. We Israeli-supporters appreciate your efforts.
