The only thing Sandberg demonstrated to me in the interview is that the super wealthy are useless and waste of our energy. The only thing I want to see from people that rich, is activism around a fair tax code. Nothing else.

It was telling that Sandberg couldn’t bring herself to say the United States with all of its faulted is the greatest country in the world, or at least was. I think her quote when talking about what are kids are learning in school about this country is that it is evil, racist etc, was “I am sure there are some good things about the US.”

That comment was unbelievable and shows how out of touch and indoctrinated she has been by the left.

“…the very people they thought were their friends are proving themselves to be just the opposite. “. Connect the dots, complete the circuit, you’re almost there! The people you thought were your enemies are your friends, actually. And were never your enemies. They are, of course, normal Americans.

All the people that hate you, Ms Sandburg, you fully supported when normal Americans didn’t. BLM and TDS and Women’s March and all that.

PS - rape has not been legal in war since the concept of war crimes arose. Even the Nazis executed soldiers for rape.

If Biden is re-elected my bet is he will totally give in to the extremists in his party who wish to destroy this country and Israel. It is time to wake up. This is beyond abortion rights.

Sandberg's documentary was necessary but not sufficient to fight the explicit jew hate that is becoming acceptable even desirable in the West.

Cheryl is willingly to talk and make a documentary about innocent Jewish women being raped, as a method Hamas Terrorists use to fight wars, but she is unwillingly to do use her money and social status to demand real change.

Cheryl claims to be an institutional reformist but she gives herself way to much credit.

One doesn't reform any institution if one keeps funding them, without tying funds to actual reform. The institutions, whether Harvard of the Democratic party only care about money and power. If one continues to fund those institutions there is NO incentive for them to change.

Harvard is a bastion of Jew hate. The Democrats have sitting members of Congress who explicitly hate Jews and chant along with "from the river to the sea". Cheryl's funding of those institutions incentivizes that behavior.

Cheryl made an important documentary. But if she really wants to stop the Jew hate she is going to have to stop being the "nice Jewish girl" and start being the tough Jewish B***h.

She is going to have to exercise power in a way that incentivizes real change. I am not sure she is up for being that woman.

I feel like Bari's interviews with the Seinfeld's and Sandberg's of today is the Billionaire Safe Space Version of 1980's SNL's "COFFEE TALK" (you will remember this if over 50). Think about it....

But she still donates and supports the administration that is walking away from Israel.

Goodness, my only takeaway is a lot of virtue signaling about how the her "allies" didn't support her position or even denied 10/7 even happened. I hope she does eventually see the light and encourage her "friends" to take a stand against antisemitism.

And consider all the other things she got wrong. And is still getting wrong.

Just finished listening to the interview and it was such a massive, massive disappointment. I actually wanted to hear what she has to say because she's Sheryl Sandberg, and I know she had bucked her tribe to speak out against the Hamas, so I was hoping for more. But gosh, where do I even start?

Just about every commenter has criticized her for still donating to Biden and voting for Biden. IMO all you laser focusing your criticism to her support of Biden is incredibly myopic. Your obsession with wanting Californians to vote against Biden is losing the forest for the tree. Firstly a handful of people no matter how influential or powerful voting is still just one vote per person and it won't make a iota of difference in CA. All it'll do is somehow make you feel better like it'd validate you. The bigger concern should be her donation.

But much much more frustrating is her stubborn refusal to admit liberals-led activists institutions are all corrupt beyond repair and it's time to abandon them. She reluctantly admit UNWomen (or more aptly now Unwoman) had been atrocious in its response to 10/6 (not to mention their endless LOUD demands for actual women to subjugate themselves and their rights to men cosplaying women). But SS doesn't even go near the line to say out loud we need to simply withdraw from UNWomen/Unwomen (and the UN for that matter but at the minimum the UNWomen/Unwomen). She still talks about Planned Parenthood like a sacred cow for women's rights when it's all but become a network of clinic doling out hormones to minors and their force-teaming of trans agenda with women's rights is a direct assault against women. Same with NOW, and all the so-called "women's organizations".

I'll commend her for making the documentary. But her stubborn loyalty to all these now anti-women organizations after she went on and on about how much she cares about rape as a weapon of war makes her delusional. And yes these are anti-women organizations now, they can't even say the word "women".

She identified a lot of the problems on how women are being shafted in the midst of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and war in general. But at the end of the day, she has no solution. All the commenters to TFP can identify the problems already. She hasn't said anything we don't already know. And maybe she can get some people beyond us to hear her out. But more than once Bari asked her how to get those other people to see, and all SS could come up with is to keep talking. The reason I tuned in was because I thought with her position and influence, she could maybe do more than the rest of us who can do nothing more than just keep talking. But she has no answer. She has no solution because she would not use her position and influence to truly cause a ruckus and make people see and turn things around. In fact the rest of us with no position and power are actually doing more because we will vote with our feet. She wouldn't even do that.

She said she wants people not to be divided into camps, but engage with each other and be less tribal and more mixed in our stances. But when pressed on the issue how we can achieve that when at the voting booth we're still stuck with the two-party choices, her gave an unbelievable answer of people should run for office themselves. Seriously??? She of all people who makes most likely large political donations should know that ordinary people have been completely priced out of running for offices except maybe at the school board level. Without either party's support, you would have to be a billionaire like RFK Junior to even try. Is she for real?

For all her intellect, she can come up with no solution. She just kept going on and on about how "we need to be more this" and "we need to be more that". I started hearing John Lennon's "Imagine" in my head. Yeah, imagine all the people living life in peace." Kumbaya. Yeah. That'll how we'll fix everything.

How about this, Sheryl? I actually think YOU can be the solution. Because you know who is someone like you who succeeded? JK Rowling. Rowling stepped up and decided she's willing to buck her own tribe to take a stand for what she believes in. She's willing to defect and put her money where her mouth is, and use her voice to speak loud and clear for all the people to hear. Yes she made enemies out of people who used to be her friends. But she made a choice to give no fuck because she knows she's right and she believes in what she's doing. In the US you could be our JK Rowling. Your friends will turn against you and perhaps you won't feel at home with those on the right, but you can wake up a large swathe in the middle and be the guiding light for the silent masses. But you don't have Rowling's galls and spine. You pale completely next to her.. You choose to remain beholden to the Democrats and the Left.

Sorry if I sound harsh. But I really had some hope when I tuned into the podcast. I guess the fault is all mine. I should know better than to have any hope or expectations for anyone who still identify themselves as liberal.

Oh and about what you said, that you now feel free to do anything and say anything. I dare you to say this publicly or post it to your social media: "A woman is an adult human female". Really. I dare you!

Mic Drop! Wow! This is what I was vaguely thinking about the interview without being able to effectively conceptualize it. Well said. SS isn’t willing to leave her zone to be effective.

This interview shows that public figures like Sandberg still stand with Biden et al, even though they deliberately allow anti semitism to flourish, and stoke the growing hatred by not openly, and publicly calling it out. For them Politics is always Paramount, and for that reason, they prove to be immoral. I see a leftist feminist naïveté that is disappointing to witness from such a prominent, and esteemed female figure. In times like these, people require a steadfast, and unwavering leadership, to guide morality. There is a clear line drawn here... The Oct. 7 atrocities were inhumane, and anyone selling them as anything but grotesque hate filled war crimes, is not worthy of respect or protection from their own stupidity, and bigotry. There is no ambiguity.

The clear line is between Biden and the candidate who has and will hand Bibi Netanyahu everything he wants on a silver platter.

As opposed to the candidate who hands everything to Zelensky on a silver platter. At least Israel can use our support effectively.

Amazing, huh? She identifies a major problem and its cause but still chooses to vote against her own and her country’s best interest because of some vague disagreement with a small part of a different political philosophy.

It is sad to see Sheryl Sandberg being expelled from the club. As COO of Facebook, she had worked so loyally to censor truths about the laptop, COVIDS origin, masks, jab efficacy and safety, election problems, etc. Let’s hope her contributions to Biden will reopen doors

I listened to the podcast. SS is pretty much unchanged in her behavior, despite the "headline." I was very disappointed in her attitude toward America. What was it she said? something like Yeah, there a few good things America has done.. Bari didn't pursue that comment, and I can't find this in the published article--was it edited out, or did I just fail to find it?

Interesting interview, although a couple glaring frustrations: 1. She is still actively supporting Biden, despite his administration being more and more wishy washy on Israel and the myriad protestors and his absolute incompetence (I get she would never support Trump, but people with influence like her could maybe be very vocal in calling for an alternative democrat candidate- competent and not anti-Israel who would stand up to the progressive left; 2. Her company has always done the DEI/Anti-Bias training and now rather than seeing how harmful it is to divide people into oppressor/oppressed categories, she just seeks to add Jew and Muslim categories to represent the never before considered religion (and omitting Christians from that group).

Expand full comment

Yes this is 100% correct. "what do you mean Jews aren't in the oppressed group? Add us in and carry on the divisive DEI training modules."

Add to that not answering some hard questions about her friends in Sun Valley and Menlo Park (oh and DC) turning out to be anti-semites. Wouldn't want to get the side eye in Whole Foods, right?

It blows my mind that Sheryl Sandberg can still support the Biden Administration and the Democrat Party who actively support Hamas and Iran and have undermined Israel's ability to defend itself.
