Sen. Ted Cruz Predicts U.S. Airlines Will Resume Flights to Israel Within 30 Days
1M
'This will be fixed.'

The Free Press has reported extensively on the U.S. airlines canceling their routes to Israel in the wake of the October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks. In a wide-ranging conversation live in Washington, D.C., Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), predicted that flights to Israel will resume in the next 30 days.

Senator Cruz: I think they need to resume the flights. I think U.S. airlines need to resume flights to Israel. We have El Al that has flights. We have regional airlines in the Middle East and in Europe that are having flights go in and out. I think it is politics that is driving that decision rather than their stated concerns.

Bari Weiss: Politics on the part of the unions?

Cruz: Yes. In particular, you look at the flight attendants union that has been very vocally anti-Israel and in fact has supported the antisemitic protests on college campuses. Look, I’m the incoming chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee that has jurisdiction over, among other things, over 40 percent of the U.S. economy, including aviation.

Weiss: So what can be done?

Cruz: A lot can be done. I think this will be fixed.

Weiss: Give us a little preview. What can be done?

Cruz: A lot can be done. But, going back to drawing a line in the sand, I’m going to predict within 30 days they’ll resume flights.

Watch Cruz sound off on the airlines at the top of this post. And watch our whole conversation with the senator here.
