It's amusing to read some of the comments about "neocons" and "establishment" and "RINO's." You'd think that anyone that doesn't have their nose half way up Trump's butt, falls under one of those labels. Don't even consider criticizing any decision Trump makes or selection he considers or you will be labeled a "deep-state advocate." Come on friends, let's get real. I voted for Trump but if you think long-time conservatives are going to sit quietly while he makes poor decisions, you can think again. Say what you want about TFP, Haley, Cheney, Noonan, or any other Trump critic, but at least they'll call it like they see it instead of pasting a label on anyone who disagrees with them.

Bring on the comments. I don't read them anyway. ;)

Who is more of a threat to the dogs? Her or the Haitians?

It's almost hilarious to see Wiseman repeat Bari Weiss' "Tulsi is an Assad toady" BS! Really? Bari got ridiculed for it all the way to the moon and you're regurgitating it again? A. Real investigative reporters like award winning Aaron Mate have pocked many holes into the official "Assad gased his own people" stories and showed that at the minimum both sides used chemical weapons, and that even Gen. Mattis admitted that they didn't have real evidence Assad was behind the Douma gas attack. B. Tulsi is right to say that NATO expansion to the East for 30+ years is the reason Russia invaded Ukraine. FP expert Uni of Chicago Prof. John Mearsheimer predicted the wrecking of Ukraine by Russia for that very same reason 10 years ago in a lecture that has over 50million views on YouTube by now. Perhaps Mr. Wiseman gets caight up a bit on that rather than being a NY Times "toady"? 🙄

Gaetz may indeed be 4D chess - IF he were to be confirmed he could indeed target a lot of the career DOJ “professionals” who have held themselves above the law. If he is not confirmed those same “professionals” will have been put on notice that the next guy won’t miss the feeling of change from the overly partisan Garland. AND Mike Johnson and sane republicans in the House no longer have to put up with Gaetz agrandizing himself over broader conservative goals. 4D chess or a Trifecta sounds like a move to shake up the swamp.

Does anybody besides me remember Trump's show "The Apprentice"? It was a psychological experience and Trump would deliberately set up people to turn on each other. I used to watch it just for the outcome. And then, at the end, he would turn to his Jewish father mentor in the corner and ask if he had done it correctly and wait for his nod or disagreement. It was just an unbelievable experience. And that is what we are witnessing with his appointments. Stay tuned.

Oliver Wiseman -- protector of nameless elite establishment cowards:

...a veteran foreign policy hand from Trump’s first term

...One senior congressional staffer

...several senior conservative legal scholars and former White House officials

...said one top conservative legal figure

...said a leading Republican lawyer

...said a veteran Republican strategist

An entire article of negative quotes that no one is brave enough to attach there name to. Oliver is not a journalist. He is one step below TMZ. What a crap article!

So incredibly disappointing to see TFP resort to negative statements from anonymous sources. I was hoping for a higher caliber of journalism here.

"The man Trump wants to be the federal government’s top attorney practiced law for a grand total of two years before becoming a legislator.

Exactly. He's not a member of the status quo: the corrupt bureaucrats who have been turning our government into an authoritarian monster for decades, a monster who was just roundly rejected by the American people, by the way.

You guys are weeping right along with the N.Y. Times. Apply a little heat to the feet and a persons true colors come out I guess.

I'm not a fan of Gaetz, but I get it. The AG is probably the position that Trump's enemies most want to see go to an establishment backstabber. Trump learned his lesson after Sessions, and he wants a "wingman" in that position, just like Obama had in Eric Holder.

It was great seeing Suzy this morning on "mainstream" media, a sign of a new era in America. Good job, Free Press!

A great win for the Free Press was announced today:

The Onion, a satirical publication that skewers newsmakers and current events, said on Thursday that it had won a bankruptcy auction to acquire Infowars, a website founded and operated by the conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

The fact that Biden had a cordial meeting with Trump proves only that Biden is an institutionalist. Whether and to what extent Trump is a threat to democracy remains to be seen

The hit piece on Tulsi by Wiseman lacked any sort of journalistic standards and was pathetic. The FP made a grave mistake hiring him he should be let go so he can matriculate to his natural habitat at MSNBC. Tulsi fell out of favor with the DNC because she spoke truth to power. She is 100% correct on Ukraine and the reason she met with Assad was to prevent another forever war by the Neocons. Oliver Wiseman…hmmm your last name certainly isn’t a descriptor of your intelligence level.

It’s going to be so important that the Senate does it’s job on the the crazy appointments. I know that is asking a lot.
