What Hamas did was appalling, but it's no longer even a question that Israel is an apartheid state. As far back as 1967, David Ben Gurion, said on radio that Israel should rid itself of the territories and Arab population or it would become an apartheid state.
Even Yitzhak Rabin said in 1976: “I don’t think it’s possible to contain over the long term, if we don’t want to get to apartheid, a million and a half [more] Arabs inside a Jewish state."
And Ehud Olmert predicted that “if the two-state solution collapses, and we face a South African-style struggle for equal voting rights, then the State of Israel is finished.”
Whilst Ehud Barak was clearer in his prediction: “if this bloc of millions of Palestinians cannot vote, that will be an apartheid state.”
This won't end well if the US and Israel refuse to recall the facts, the reason why Hamas attacked and address an untenable situation that will lead to more blood shed and hatred. Why do you think Israel want's to wipe Palestine off the earth?
Just like back in 2004, the children in Palestine today will remember the slaughter of 18,000 (to date) in retaliation for 1200 dead, which is a retaliation for years of death, imprisonment and destruction. The cycle will continue until someone with humanity, someone that realises there's no way you can kill everyone with whom you disagree on the planet, mans up and negotiates a viable peace.
