Of all the big issues Facing the USA and the West in the November election, and there are many, the one that preoccupies me most is the attitude of American people towards the state of Israel and the Arab world that is trying to choke it to death. Does the USA intend to continue protecting Israel and maintaining the world order or will it, like the UK, cower in the face of Muslim anger and entitlement and simultaneously abandon its diplomatic effort in the Middle East and pander to Islamist militants (including some naive US born students) and their anti-Semitic demands on American soil.

This is the issue on which Democrats and Harris are most vulnerable. At this moment in time Trump is the ONLY western leader who has the courage to resist Islam. All the others are sleepwalking towards obliteration. The mind virus has captured them.

Infinite credit to Douglas Murray for his prescience on this subject.

There’s too much stupid and cowardice in the world, neither of which have a home within Douglass Murray.

It is a troubled time that we live in but I have hope with those like Douglas Murray who fight on for what we all know is the free way to live. There are so many things we can do to make a difference but one of the easiest and most important is to vote. But blind voting is like not voting at all. Don’t just go in and press the D, R or I button without actually educating yourself on who you are voting for. It does make a difference. Thank you to the FP and Douglas for continuing to tell the truth.

Our so-called "elder brothers" have lost their minds...and their souls.

Do I have this right?

’even retweeting a post “which is insulting or abusive, which is intended to or likely to start racial hatred” makes one liable for arrest.’

Actually physically engaging in racial hatred, not so much.

Douglas Murray is in my mind one of the most articulate intellectuals that have retained their sense of integrity over the last five years. I have his books both in print and audio and reference and cite them frequently.

One of the primary reasons I support The Free Press is because of their association with Douglas.

This from the nation of the Magna Carta. Sadly, we aren't far removed from this type of attack on freedom to express unsanctioned opinions.

I just listened ot his book, "The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam," and was amazed by how this eight year old book so clearly predicted what is now occurring in the UK.

Thank the Lord we Americans fought a war to break those English shackles. Suppression and coercion in that case sparked a revolution - the powerful across the pond have learned precisely: nothing.

We need to step back and ask ourselves what are the sides of this war on free speech and truth. Who wins when truth is hidden? Why would England and Canada and Europe spend such effort to squelch free speech and punish those who doubt their party line? Why do countries want dangerous immigrants and then lie to us about how dangerous they are? I do not think a nation actually wants to import vast numbers of poor dangerous immigrants just... "because." So let's ask who is really winning when the uneducated workforce is suddenly quadrupled, and some of those people are murderers, extremists and worse. Most impoverished unskilled immigrants just want to live in peace, some of course do not. So who is perpetuating this? Who is winning? The problem is crystal clear, the cause is murky.

The Muslims (who control much of the world's oil, have a religious mandate to make the whole world Muslim, have numbers such that about 1 in 4 human beings in the world is a Muslim) have made it clear that violence will occur without submission (remember, the word "Islam" means "Submission." "Muslim" (male) and "Muslima" (female) mean "Submitted One." And, "Allahu Akbar" does not mean "God is Great." It means, "Allah is the Greatest" (a statement of supremacy).

So, the people in charge want to placate the Muslims--and then the Chinese will take over and the Europeans in charge will collaborate with them on controlling everybody else (note how many Chinese nationals are in our schools and scientific/medical institutions. Note how many are immigrating and buying property & businesses in Western nations. Note how many Westerners (mostly men) are married to Chinese women and all of the loyalties and access that creates).

This is what is so perplexing. It looks like the Democrats are winning...but what are they winning? Perpetual power, a treasury full of devalued dollars, a prominent place in the globalist pantheon, a permanent underclass, low cost manual labor?

Without free speech (but not unlawful or destructive actions that protesters and rioters try to pass as free speech) there is no Democracy, there is no freedom only tyranny of the speech police.

Nearly 3,000 years ago, Homer wrote in The Iliad that “to speak his thoughts is every freeman’s right.”

Voltaire got free speech right too: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Finally: "If you’re really in favour of free speech, then you’re in favour of freedom of speech for precisely the views you despise. Otherwise, you’re NOT in favour of free speech.”

Douglas is the main reason I subscribe to the FP, and incidentally to the Spectator, despite its leftwing turn under editor Fraser Nelson.

Will The Free Press also passionately defend free speech for anti-Zionists on our best campuses? Will it defend freedom for the speech it hates in general? Or will it merely stand, in the great Nat Hentoff’s phrase, for “freedom of speech for me, but not for thee,” like most everyone else?

Yes - we will defend their right to be stupid and to defend terrorism. We will not like doing that, but yes, we must support it.

The free speech of anti-Zionists is NOT hampered in any way, anywhere in the US!!!

Trespassing, property damage and blocking people from going about their lives peacefully are NOT "free speech" they are unlawful ACTIONS, not speech.

Indeed, we are seeing "with our own eyes" that the battle of free speech is at the core of the future of the US! The Democrats and the legacy media wish to control the narrative on the entire politic in the US including what constitutes MIS/DIS information. It's unreal!

I am sort of an anglophile, married to a historian who is a serious anglophile. I have enjoyed all my visits to Britain, and like and admire the country’s people, history, and culture. However I have only contempt for some of its present day politicians and bureaucrats. The British people have lost the basic civil right to speak and write freely without fear of reprisals from their rulers. I hope the time of these tyrants will pass as the time of James II did, and the people will recover some of their rights. In the meantime, these limey goose steppers seem to think they are riding pretty high - high enough to threaten Americans against offering opinion about what is going on in the United Kingdom. There are a number of obvious rude answers to that, and those twits deserve all of them. We could remind them that things did not go well for British tyrants the last time they tried to shut us up and put us back in our place. We could mention that we have both a first and a second amendment, along with a tradition of rebellious attitudes and reacting poorly to being pushed around. We could point out that they might want to stay on our good side for the next time they find themselves in a war they can’t win without us. That sort of stuff is fine, but it does not go far enough. We should go beyond that and “hatefully” label them as the fascist scum they are and express fond wishes that they go to hell.

We also should tell Murray to hang in there.
