As a former USSR citizen, I agree with everything you said, except for one. The country is waiting for a real leader, but every country has a leader it deserves - sadly. Unless the country realizes that being at each other's throat only leads us downhill, the real leader will not emerge. Leaders are not the cause, they are a symptom of a change. It pains me to watch American citizens hating their fellow Americans and loving foreign dictators and terrorist regimes. It pains me when some believe Putin is a hero while others chant "death to America" in Farsi and look to Hamas as freedom fighters. Unless we find a source of national unity, we will be forever defeated.
