I realize that this is a very late comment to last week's TGIF, but I wanted to say that I am very grateful for all the blessings in my life, in particluar my wife, my children, and my grandchildren. I also want to express my gratitude for The Free Press and all that Bari and Nellie have created here. Beyond the much needed content and mission behind that content, I have come to be grateful for the community of readers, at least as evidenced by the weekly comments to TGIF. Certainly there are some whacko things said in here, but taken together I see evidence that there is a bid "middle" out there, by which I mean people from all over and all walks of life who do share common values and express common sense opinions about the issues of the day and the challenges we face that are not pre-squeezed through an ideological sieve. I think I am referring to the same thing that Christophe Guilluy wrote about this week concerning the last, best hope for France. This gives me hope for America, too. So thanks to all of you and please let me know where I can get my yellow vest!
