Is Kanye still around? I thought he went off on a crazy antisemitic rant a few years back and got promptly exiled from the entire culture.

"Ye is an “antisemitic edgelord, but he remains a musical genius.”

So what. There is no shortage of musical geniuses. I'll pass.

"There is no shortage of musical geniuses."

True. But mostly they're all dead:

Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak;

Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein;

John Lennon.

I don’t think you can be a woman and like or listen to Kanye.

I think we need to rescue his wife. Kim Kardashian only survived and got away because she had strong family connections and her own money.

His new wife is much younger, an immigrant with no family in the US, was on a visa that relies on him employing her, was still at university.

There is nothing about Kanye that I find of interest. I'm pretty sure that I would pass him on the street and not realize it. IDK if he has a diagnosed mental illness/condition, or is just a jerk, or presents as either/both as a marketing tactic. IDK and I don't care.

What is worthwhile as a subject are the hanger-ons/lampreys that circle around and promote/enable him. Why do they do it? Yes, sure, an easier way to make money than digging a ditch, I suppose. And status/access to the rich-and-famous I guess has appeal for some. But damn. What a degrading way to live.

I would like ten minutes with the gal in the lead photo here, if I could get a coherent answer, to ask her: why? Perched next to this guy, half-naked, wearing on top what looks like a rubberized large trash bag. Given that he seems comfortable being fully clothed, including hat, gloves, long sleeves, long pants, she must have been freezing. Besides being cold, how ridiculous she looks. And look at her face. That is not a woman who sees herself as worth anything other than as a piece of his performance.

I don't feel sorry for her. But I would want to know: why?

I now there are some folks "disappointed" in the lonely hearts clubs stuff.

Me? Not so much. It is all funny shit to me. I'm OK with TFP publishing this stuff. I read it like I used to read Dear Abby in my youth. It is funny and interesting to read what people seek. And what they don't. There are a million stories in the naked city. It is actually better than some of the sanctimony that comes from the pens of you know who.

Just stay away from sports, please. I cannot imagine anything more cringey than a sports day from a rag run by a couple of lesbians. Seriously, lesbians are not men, they are women and they should not try to emulate what men like.

Can we love Kanye west? Can we love a drug addled dingbat? That's what Kanye is. Too much MDMA and psychedelics surrounded by sycophants. Let's rephrase this. Can we love Khalil Gibran?

The Ayatollah Khomeini wrote poetry you couldn't differentiate from Khalil Gibran.

The poetry of Imam Khomeni

https://www.al-islam.org/wine-love-mystical-poetry-imam-khomeini/ghazal-poetry#wine-love

That cured me of any ideas I had that the feelings invoked in me by poetry had anything at all to do with WTF was going on in HIS head!

Paging Douglas Murray.

Tabasco or Texas Pete is tasty, but it sure ain’t HOT sauce. Unless she happens to have the Scorpion Pepper Tabasco in here purse, that shit rocks - highly recommended.

Also whatever that is, it ain’t Country. Being from Texas doesn’t make one “Country”. Houston the 3rd biggest city in the USA ain’t remotely country. Southern perhaps, although Tejas is really it’s own thang. City folks just don’t get it. Sorry modern Nashville is just the Southern music Los Angeles. Beyonce’s still nice to look at though. I’ll keep the sound down thanks.

Except - I am a Liberal on the left and post here occasionally - exactly for the reasons you state. Try and remember that MANY of us feel exactly the same way about this madness. A cautionary word to those on the right - you can point fingers at the Left all day long - but, as I’ve said before - until you are willing to be as vocal, firm and bold - and challenge this stuff openly, everywhere - you can expect more of this. I don’t mean their tactics - the bullying and promoting mass ignorance - I just mean challenge it when you see it. I do it all the time just with questions - ask them to explain what they mean about any Twitter talking point or buzzword, and most of the time you get a blank stare. Goes ways beyond that but - just saying, there are some sane leftists here but EVERYONE needs to challenge this extremism.

Calm down, dear FP fellows, and let's praise the USA where we can still express our opinions, voice frustrations, and annoy each other without a repercussions. For now.

So Dli of course as a Jew you can love Kanye. You are not a member of a repressive religion that mandates how you wipe your arse. Rather you are blessed to be a part of a religion that not only encourages you to think for yourself it rewards you for doing so. Think about that - a religion so confident in its system of belief and its practitioner that it allows not only questioning but disobedience. So very, very impressive.

It appears TFP is branching out to pull in subscribers. It’s what companies always do when they want to grow their businesses.

As a Texan, full of my Granny’s words of wisdom (teachings), I just have this to say to Bari, “Don’t get too big for your britches”

Also, again as a Texan, I love “Texas 2 Step”
