I'm excited for the pick and it could bring some legitimacy to this ticket. I still believe that the Democrats should go with an open convention and let there be some old-school horse trading and voting. But failing that, building a ticket that counters the left-wing would help the party's chances in the fall. After all, who are these wing-nuts not going to vote for? And if the answer is "perhaps they won't show up" .... then I guess democracy isn't really on the ballot because if it were these people would put aside their differences and show up anyway.
