Lewy body dementia has characteristics of Parkinsonism and cognitive impairment

Slow movement = hypokinesia

Reduced movement = bradykinesia

Poor balance= postural instability

No tremor argues against Parkinson’ disease ( treatable) but for Parkinsonism (not treatable)

Combine this with the evident cognitive and behavioral symptoms

As the CIA would say have all the “appearance “ of Lewy body dementia

Confirmation Amyloid PET Scan and perfusion SPECT Scan both easy, safe and readily available

I have treated this and related disorders for more than 40 years

If you need a second opinion, I concur.

I'm an ER doc so I'm not involved in the longterm care for this condition but I am trained to recognize it and determine whether the patient is a safe discharge home.

Biden would be a safe discharge because he has adequate support where he lives--lol--but I would hesitate to discharge him if he lived alone.

Another ER doc here, and LBD was also top of my DDX, with vascular dementia being perhaps a distant second. What is noteworthy to me is the rapidity of decline. I compared videos of Biden walking from 3 years ago to now, and the change is significant. This speaks to an actual, diagnosable condition rather than just "age". Anyone who works in adult medicine has had patients in their 80s who are amazingly spry and mentally sharp. Biden does not seem that way at all. Also agree that, if such a patient showed up in the ED, and didn't have family support, he'd be a "social admit".

I just don’t understand how he has never been tested for any of these! If he has, it would have to be released to the public. Either way we are being gaslighted. His defenders know the truth. They don’t have the character to admit it.

Once you test and confirm the diagnosis you can't deny it. If you don't test/confirm it you can say it was a cold. Plausible deniability
