It's so hard. It's really difficult to see what's standing right in front of us and then have the courage to admit it. It happens in many aspects of life: viability of relationships, functional comprehension of financial means and, of course, the debilitating effects of cognitive and physical aging. Mr. Biden might have just had a "bad night", but the sad truth is this: his condition will not improve with time. Even with his "energetic" next day performance in NC, hailed by the NY Times as "forceful" and "confident", this lonely truth cannot be ignored by the United States of Amnesia. Things will only get worse. Highly scripted stage maneuvers and conveniently placed teleprompters will eventually not be sufficient to conceal what most critical thinkers already know: entropy always wins.
