What the new leader of Britain’s Tories is willing to die for. Plus: Merkel’s disastrous legacy, and what does sleeping with 100 men in one day do to the soul?
My father and other people who fought and lived through WWII were most upset when Germany reunited. They believed a united Germany would once again be the downfall of Europe. I thought they were being overly dramatic. Ah, youth!
Every hundred years or so, British politics produces a potential Tory leader that may pull it from the brink. Kemi may just be the Churchill of this era.
Just listened. I like Badenoch. A lot. She has guts. She's smart, articulate and common sense. And anti-identity politics...thank GOD. I don't understand white progressive racism; it's so fucking bizarre. They seem to actually believe that all Black women act/talk/think the same. This is a racist idea. The fact that they think they have the right to call Badenoch a "white supremacist" shows you how satirical, absurd and desperate the state of affairs has become for progressives. Man they are stupid.
I like the website redesign but my only gripe is now there is no quick link to the comments after the article, you have to scroll past the first few to get to the "more comments" button. Would rather the big "Comments" header be a link. Minor gripe. Keep up the good work.
Oh man this reminds me of when Wegmans rearranges the grocery aisles because they think it will help the customer and the customers are vexed because nothing is in the right place.
Is this what the survey really said you should do….
In regard to the comments by ELizabeth Warren vs the comments of Trump- this is the false equivalency that aggravates so many readers here. Warren was speaking *about* a blood bath and *explaining* why there has been a large public outcry denouncing the healthcare insurance industry. Trumps comments *predicted* a blood bath if he lost the election. The response to the murder of a CEO was unsettling but does highlight the troubling reality that is the current state of affairs for American healthcare.
Trump's "bloodbath" was in regards to what would possibly happen to the auto industry in America if Chinese electric cars were allowed to flood the American market. It was not about riots if he lost the election. Surely you know that,....
His point at the time was *if he didn't win*, the electric cars would flood the market and there would be a bloodbath. My point that the comments in the article are a false equivalency stands. Reporters just can't resist a chance to make comparisons that aren't there.
I was indeed surprised by the "new look" -- kind of a font cross between Tablet and People Magazine. Which is apt, considering the tattlehood of such pseudo news as sex workers' souls, Spotify/Springsteen and Don Jr.'s love life. A bit disappointed at the depth, or lack of, considering that the white house released the news of the Pardonfest at around 5:30 this morning.
I am only half-way through it, but she seems FABULOUS. Perhaps even far more 'user-friendly' than the Iron Lady herself. Looking forward to watching the rest...
Trump and Obama are influencing Biden's last moves. Mainly for Trump, the energy dependency and the tarrifs. For Obama, it's the coddling up to Iran and letting antisemitism continue to fester in our country and on our college campuses.

Great interview with Kemi Badenoch!
She is impressive.
Elizabeth Warren just confirmed once again that she is adept at speaking nonsense.
Perhaps with a forked tongue?
Seriously, how this abject fraud has not been turned out by the Massachusetts voters is appall-
(checks my Illinois drivers license)
Well, crap - can't throw any stones here in my glass house.
When she said Tom Sowell was her biggest influence I literally came
hahahaha. Ditto Hayek.

I wish Kemi was Canadian. Maybe Bari could interview Pierre Pollieve for Canadian FPers.
Secretary Blinken testified to Congress yesterday about the Afghanistan withdrawal. Please do a deep dive on this hearing.
I hate your new layout.
By the way, I think the new page layout is much better!

She's good.
