This is called The Free Press for a reason… not The Fox News Press… when you get off the hamster wheel and get your bearings you can see that there is a whole world out there with opposing views. Stop crying every time someone opposes your views. Or just stay on that hamster wheel forever.
Well color me shocked. Not a one in support of Trump’s efforts to deal with the aftermath of “Joe Biden’s” wholesale import of illegal aliens with the express intent of overwhelming our borders and public institutions.
I saw that too, how convenient. It seems the anti-trump attacks just keep rolling in. And what are we talking about? Removing criminal illegal aliens. So weird.
From Article III Section 3 of the Constitution, "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court." The actions of previous presidents, particularly of Biden, in opening our borders to illegal migrants is clearly adhering to our enemies and giving them aid and comfort. Some of our fiercest enemies are the gang members from Central and South America who are ravaging our cities and towns with murder, mayhem, and the drug trade. Trump is patriotically stopping the illegal migration and sending Biden's army of gang members back to the cess pools they came from.
Constitutional authority for the Supreme court amounts to 1/12th of the Constitution. The unconstitutional rulings of the Court seeking to stop his reversal of unconstitutional migration practices by previous presidents has no Constitutional foundation, and in my estimation, is part and parcel of their treason.
In the realm of medical innovation, and given that one of Trump's greatest accomplishments in his first term was the facilitation of Operation Warp Speed, it's interesting that he ignored and practically pretended like it never happened. It was also interesting that the Democrats pretended it didn't happen, or that it didn't happen under Trump's watch. Strange days indeed!
yes one sided questioning and reporting no matter what the Free Press says. Just shows that they pick and choose how deeply they want to be fair and balanced in reporting.
Re: Ryan Holiday’s canceled speech on wisdom at the USNA (linked to NYT article)… I am a big fan of his books, and eagerly listen to him on podcasts. I named my second child Marcus Aurelius. I also served in the military for over 30 years. The USNA was correct to cancel his speech—the military in general doesn’t have time to get caught up in likely political / cultural distractions while we are training warfighters. The study of Stoicism and for that matter, Wisdom (be it the writings of Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, St. Thomas Aquinas, even modern Stoic heroes like ADM Stockdale, et. al.) have not been purged from the libraries. A speaker, granted who is wonderfully articulate, animated and charismatic, was canceled in order to let the Academy continue its mission with the least distractions from (what is at the moment) an obvious lightning rod issue with the Commander in Chief. It was fitting, proper, and unfortunate.
Very good points. This country's military and defense establishment still have a very important job to do in protecting the country. Letting itself get pulled into controversy over Trump's probable overreach on DEI (and I'm certainly no fan of DEI) only impedes the USNA's ability to carry out its core mission.
It's more than unfortunate that antisemitism is so deeply supported in the administrations of once-elite universities. I'm glad Trump is trying to hold them accountable.
He's going about it the wrong way, but it's still encouraging that he's trying.
In 1963, George Wallace, then the governor of Alabama (he was a Democrat, of course), stood in the doorway of an auditorium at the University of Alabama and tried to stop black students from entering and registering for classes. President Kennedy sent in the National Guard to force Wallace to step aside.
Today, we don't see politicians and college officials overtly blocking Jewish students from entering buildings, but that's because they've recruited students to do it for them. Jews know that they have to remove any obvious sign of being Jewish and/or pass ideology tests or risk violence against them.
This is the civil rights issue of our times, like it or not. And the Democratic Party, as it was with Wallace and others, is taking its stance.
This is not hard. Bark at the experts all you want. All of the pushback in this article is firmly grounded in the law. Let's take the Obama example:
Obama’s 5M+ deportations didn’t the trigger injunctions y'all are screaming about. Why?
Administrative vs. Criminal Proceedings:
- The vast majority of deportations under Obama were handled through civil immigration proceedings, not criminal prosecutions
- That means the U.S. wasn’t sending people home *to be punished*, just removing them for being unlawfully present under U.S. immigration law.
2. No “extradition” element:
- When someone is deported, the U.S. government isn’t making legal claims about what should happen to them *after* they return to their home country.
- Contrast that with extradition or targeted removal to a country *because* they’ll be punished — that’s where international law and human rights concerns kick in.
3. No claim of risk or persecution by deportees (in most cases):
- Under U.S. and international law, if someone claims they’ll face persecution, torture, or certain death if deported, they can request asylum or withholding of removal.
- If those claims are denied, and the courts agree, deportation can proceed.
- There weren’t mass waves of legal challenges saying Obama-era deportations would result in human rights abuses *after* return — or if there were, they weren’t deemed credible or systemic.
4. The Obama Admin didn’t brag about targeting enemies for abuse:
- One big difference from some recent controversies (hint: Trump-era or hypothetically Musk-era rhetoric) is the tone and intent.
- If the public framing is "we’re going to deport these people to get punished,” then you’re inviting legal challenges (e.g., under non-refoulement principles in international law, which bar sending people to places where they'll likely be tortured or persecuted).
TL;DR:
- Obama’s deportations were mostly civil removals, not criminal extraditions.
- There was no formal intent to have people punished upon return.
- Legal challenges arise when deportations are punitive or violate human rights — not when someone is simply removed for being here unlawfully.
Thank you for the GAZENS CLASH video and the truthful narrative. This should be the lead video on all US media sites but unsurprisingly, it has not been shown on the major leftist media sites in the US.
"Pope Francis has died...We'll bring you more on this story in the coming days." Please let us know if there's any change in his condition. We're running a betting pool.
The comments seem off the rail and excessively virulent towards TFP this am? As a Republican moderate, I question the criticisms of the Trump coverage vs. benign reporting of Dems in the past. This president is incendiary and the media responds - much to his liking and expectation. The main issue now is the constitutionality of his actions and preserving our 3-branch system. Excusing his behavior because the Dems do or did it does not give him a pass now. The pendulum will swing back to the Dems in future elections and we may severely regret these excessive shifts.
Nikki Haley - governors may be more suitable for a presidency than a bombastic TV personality because of their ability to control budgets, both sides of the aisle in legislatures, and city/rural plus business areas. While the country appreciates Trump’s results on the border, DEI, wokeness, federal bloat etc., again the overall atmosphere in DC is mania - see all the hirings/firings and policy reversals.
There’s no method to his madness and he flip flops daily. He’s a reckless bull in a “China” shop. I voted for him and other Reps, but his behavior and associates are alarming AND I believe independents, moderates, and blue collar/minority voters will abandon this party in upcoming elections. Americans want change, but in an orderly fashion & allies suffer while enemies are not flinching.
For four years we actually had a real 25th amendment constitutional crisis, and absolutely no one on the left (including you, "moderate" Republican) could be bothered to say a goddamned thing.
Not sure what you’re exactly referring to. Moderate Reps and Dems, plus centrists/independents can run this country way better than the extreme Left or Right and I suspect would win any election easily. That’s the nature of our varied population.
You have no idea about the real constitutional concerns about Biden's mental infirmities and the 25th amendment?
Also not sure how you define a Moderate republican or Democrat. At one point Romney was considered a "moderate," but the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) savaged him as some kind of Nazi ogre.
Correct about my lack of idea - what exactly are you saying should be done now regarding the 25th amendment & the former prez's mental state at that time? Moderate is the opposite of extreme part views & ability to give/take in order for gov't to function. I voted for Romney & against Obama both times.
I don't think anything can be done now that Biden is out of office. However, in speaking of constitutional crises, I'm always surprised at how many people were unconcerned about them during Biden's term, but are super scared at the moment.
My point about Romney is the fact that perhaps as electable as you believe moderates to be, the reality is far different. I would posit also that Romney (and how he was treated) is a big reason how we got Trump.
The people and party who did NOTHING to curb F/W/A and tackle unfair trade complain that Trump isn't doing it the right way? That what do nothing people and cowards always say. What a pile of crap. If not now, when? If not Trump, who?
Threat to democracy/Constitutional crisis - all leftist BS fear mongering. He's doing what he was elected to do - reorganize the priorities of this country with $36,000,000,000,000 and a bloated govt. filled with f/w/a ... it's not pretty but business as usual guarantees China's dominance in next 5-10 years. If not now, when. If not Trump, who? Regares.

Well color me shocked. Not a one in support of Trump’s efforts to deal with the aftermath of “Joe Biden’s” wholesale import of illegal aliens with the express intent of overwhelming our borders and public institutions.
I expected a balance. This is absurd.
I saw that too, how convenient. It seems the anti-trump attacks just keep rolling in. And what are we talking about? Removing criminal illegal aliens. So weird.
I wonder who's hiding behind the "The Editors" moniker.
This is how The Front Page becomes irrelevant.
Only the Free Press would go through the bogus motions of debating whether Trump is breaking the law.
Only those readers affected with TDS would care.

Trump article very disappointing. Engineered consensus https://www.amazon.com/Engineering-Consent-L-Bernays/dp/0806103280

Thank God competency and merit are back at the DOD.

Hmm. Did TFP ever ask if Biden was acting lawlessly? Seriously. Ever?
And if he Tump) is, So what? To lawyers the Constitution is either sacrosanct or an obstacle.

I have to admit- I am sick of weekly if not daily “is Trump breaking the law articles. Please. Stop.
A lot of people have the same feelings about Trump breaking the law.
But weirdly not about Biden or Obama “breaking the law”.
The weren’t compulsive criminals.
