Wow. When all along I thought our greatest threat is the dreaded AWP, American White Patriarchy.

I think this is partially right in it's well know that the professors have been taken over by a socialist left (over the last 20 years) as documented by many on the right , which states like Florida have been fighting with limited success . I also think it's hard to say how much the Iranian work has also had a some influence on this too. I can say the socialist left professors are extreme in there views and teaching effects , and we all need to wake up to it !

I simply disagree. The evidence for Iranian aid to campus protesters has been demonstrated by many, most significantly by Danielle Pletka in Commentary. As a university professor myself, we have all seen a shocking rise in the gullibility and alienation of our students. They have no identity and spend their lives looking for one. Every tattoo you see is evidence of a lost soul hoping to find someone to tell them what their next tattoo and their next identity will be.

@Someone, I couldn't figure out what you disagree with. Your position as a professor is helpful for those of us on the outside, looking in, befuddled. Do you disagree with the final statements "Many of the Americans who block traffic and take over quads on behalf of the terrorists of October 7 are not taking their cues from Persian cyber-spies, but college professors and journalists. For generations these information elites have insisted that Palestinian terror is a legitimate expression of Palestinian dispossession. But the root cause is not foreign disinformation so much as domestic ideology." ?

Qatar, for example, overtly subsidizes many university programs that are antagonistic to Israel. And there is evidence that funding is also flowing into these "studies" programs from Iranian sources as well. Danielle Pletka demonstrates this quite well. In a nutshell, if you want a PhD in any program that focuses on de-colonialism you are required to ape your Arab financed professors. So for the grad student who wants a job, it is a MeToo situation: If you do not "put out" on the academic casting couch you will not receive your PhD. Either you mimic the hate of your professors or you do not get the job. It is a stringently enforced propaganda machine. And students who are adrift morally and emotionally are extremely susceptible to intellectual assault or even intellectual rape by their post-colonial professors. Many a young professor or even elementary school teacher will confess to the MeToo experiences they had to tolerate to become academics themselves. Arab-financed Jew Hate is baked in the cake.

I am on vacation in Northern Idaho. Not far from Ruby Ridge. What I saw driving in from Washington state was an illuminated sign saying "We Stand with Israel" placed over a star of David flag.

So much for the QANON reputation, or the Matthew Shepard myth. 'The Great Unwashed' who have been clinging to .... well you know the rest of the political slur from a presidential campaign... they seem to understand geopolitics decency and human rights significantly better than an Ivy League campus or the Grey Lady. Perhaps the latter mentioned someday will choose to put the latte down and meet our country with an open heart & a commitment to the truth.

A little more about "educated":

- An independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta today, July 13, 2024: "Here is an incredible letter: a plea for an immediate ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine and in the Gaza Strip, signed by 51 Nobel laureates."

- Reuters, June 26, 2024: "16 Nobel Prize-winning economists say Trump policies will fuel inflation."

- If you search a little further into the past, you will find tons of open letters signed by hundreds of Nobel laureates, making the most idiotic statements, and, of course, there are countless educated lovers of communism. Only Hollywood can surpass these blockheads in terms of idiocy.

For the record. I'm PhD, I was educated in one of the best USSR universities, it's difficult to suspect me in envy. But I'm familiar with this "educated" world from inside.

Ivy professors and their acolytes have, because they are blessed to live in the USA, freedom of speech...this allows them to say any stupid thing that comes into their leftist addled brain pans...likewise we have the freedom to say what we think of these ideas...they are moronic trash good for nothing more than serving up burgers and fries...morons...g.

What I see are these whacky kids celebrating Iran as part of the resistance to Israel/USA badness.

It’s hard to describe just how stupid anyone in the west could be to think that it’s a good idea to celebrate the theocratic nutbars.

Queers for Iran? Why not, off you go, for playing you get a free, forced gender conversion.

Or death, of course.

There is always a choice in Iran

Fucking morons.

The wings, Left and Right, have met at the intersection of hatred. However, at this time the Left Wing is more institutionalized and thus more powerful. There are still plenty of Americans who favor what moderates still exist, in both parties. Pray for something like: Andy Beshear vs. Nikki Haley. Pray. Everything is possible.

It takes an intelligence agency to surmise an amateurish Iran is helping with anti-Israeli protests. And there are gullible Americans. Who da thunk!!!!

Is the anti-Israel protesters, the perfect storm of different influences that when combined equal an energy that is greater than the sum of their parts? Here are some of the more obvious items contributing to the storm:

>An academic culture that supports binomial answers (oppressed/oppressor) rather than nuanced.

>"Journalist" who are really more influencers and propagandist writing for Tik-Tok are becoming much more sophisticated in producing friendly and sympathy inducing propaganda. When so many young people get their information from TikTok, China and and many other Middle Eastern countries have become increasingly more subtle and appealing in their ability to sell a story. ie the houthi hottie

>Foreign money or domestic terror organizations like Code Pink, Antifa, CAIR raising money here and abroad. The uniformity of signs, tents, etc. hint that these were purchased or produced by a group with the money and ability to quickly organize and mobilize a movement.

>Students seem to have a drive to create villians and identify with the oppressed despite facts to the contrary. After years of being in lockdown, it may be a relief to finally create a group that allows them to form social justice warriors bonds and order DoorDash, give manicures, and wear a rather stylish keffiyeh scarf bought from Amazon. (Note Amazon even has a model using the keffiyeh to cover their face).

The anti-Israel movement seems more of a hydra than a two headed snake.

The Keffiyeh Klux Klan exists because colleges and universities encourage it. There is no risk involved. Even if you break a few windows and assault a few Jewish people, there are no consequences.

So, when a professor or administrator (a professor is now an administrator who grants "A"s for parroting the party line) tells you that all your problems exist because of "that Jew over there", it's easy and lots of fun.

The original KKK came into existence for exactly the same reason - authority (in that case local churches and government) convinced people that all their personal failings were the result of black people and gave them cover for intimidating and assaulting them.

"You Can’t Blame Iran for America’s Anti-Israel Protests"

No, you can, Eli. But you can blame Democrats. And you are likely one of them.

Nearly ALL universities and media institutions are controlled with more than 90% majorities of smug, self-aggrandizing, arrogant, ignorant Democrats... (sound familiar? Look around you)

The Democratic Party of America, DELENDA EST!

Follow the money at institutions of higher learning. Much of it is coming from Middle Eastern donors, like Qutar, Saudi Arabia, and others. Money controls the curriculium that fit the narrative. Combine this with the CRT and other simplified oppressor/opressed mindset and our failure to value and teach Western Civilization - and the freedoms it produced that we all enjoy and need to protect. We must teach to think, not teach to a test. We must also teach Civics - how to be a good citizen in a wider society - Identity Politics has got to go.

Elite colleges require professors to tailor their courses around the multiple Critical Theories; at their core, these theories hypothesize that the human condition is no more than a continuous struggle between one class of people oppressing a different class. To be on the right side of history, one must side with the oppressed.

If students want to get good grades, they must memorize and parrot back these concepts. Why then would we blame Iran for sparking the protests when students believe the following:

• Critical Race theory – White people oppress Black people. Israelis are white Europeans and Palestinians are people of color.

• Critical Colonial Theory – Israel is a colonial oppressor who stole the land from indigenous peoples.

• Critical Queer Theory – Queers for Palestine takes bizarre reasoning, but it probably stems from not wanting to be left out of the oppressor-oppressed struggle.

There’s no reasoning with these students that Jews are historically the oppressed people instead of the oppressors. Besides, students are having great fun proving the notion that they are “Wise Fools”.

Yes! Agree 100%. I’d hypothesize that the university funding for Mid East studies programs from spurious donors has contributed as root source in universities over decades too. But misinformation is so pervasive in our mainstream news outlets which are then being used as data sets for AI and being spread even more. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/randicurhan_ai-generativeai-activity-7202415568673513472-rF6I?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios
