To the Editor: Please forgive me if I have not sent this request to the proper niche (Is that word even used anymore?). I am trying to find a way to include your excellent "Letters" section to my "notifications" selection list, in my "Account"...tab menu?

I miss the days in the 90's where I would take a NYT Sunday edition to the coffee section at Barnes & Noble and lose myself for a while learning about the world. One time my mother and my wife dragged me to watch the movie Titanic at a local theater in Virginia Beach. I literally left for the bathroom, read a Sunday edition for two GLORIOUS hours, walked back into the movie and the ship had not even sunk yet. I applaude your efforts in this regard. You are on the right track.

But what I love about technology, for both good and bad, is the instant response your articles allow in the comments section. I find those comments as much, if not more, enjoyable and insightful than the article itself. Which I think is exactly your point. If you can tell me how I can get regular access via notifications of your "Letters" I will upgrade to "Founder" status.

Finally, having been born and raised in the Bay Area (Hayward, East side of the 92) in the 60's through the 80's and routinely making family pilgrimages to Alioto's on Fisherman's Wharf for shrimp cocktails in The City, I hope you can document current efforts being made to return my most beloved city in the world to the bohemian pinnacle it once was. San Francisco has always had a rich rebellious flavor...and I wonder where it went off track. I have not been back since before the Towers fell. TFP is a wonderful start, keep pushing the envelope. You are on the right track.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Very Respectfully and with much Aloha,

Phil Regier
