I feel sorry for American Jews. I think Jews who think anti-antisemitic ads, or whatever, are going to lessen antisemitism are kidding themselves. Right-wing antisemites will hate Jews to eternity the same way their ancestors hated them when they lynched and burned Leo Frank in Atlanta as if he were black, the same way they did when they marched through the UVA campus with a Nazi parade of torches and shouts of "Jews will not replace us." The same way they did when they invented the insane theory that the tiny Jewish minority is plotting to "replace" the 58% of other "whites" in our population. And left-wing antisemites, a much smaller group, just as the Ivies have many fewer students than state universities for the masses have, will forever see Israelis Jews as the colonial, apartheid "oppressors" of the Palestinians. Jewish attempts to change these mass American views will get nowhere, and will be further undermined by the daily scenes of Gazan fathers carrying the broken bodies of their kids from the ruins of Gazan buildings, taking them to hospitals to be operated on without anesthetics. For dessert, Zionist American Jews face a growing generation gap within both Jewish and Gentile America, in which younger Americans in both groups break with older ones because of radically different historical experiences, as well as the much higher level of assimilation into secular American culture by the Jewish young, especially at our best universities, which are unstoppably progressive and thus tilted against Bibi's Israel, and which are the places young Jews matriculate in disproportionate numbers. Jews obviously have gigantic financial power in America, but much less power to shape mass public opinion, right or left.
