You turned off the comments to Kat Rosenfeld's trenchant article????? For what possible reason?

You fucking cowards.

Fire Wiseman.

Now.

According to the Telegraph today, the IOC spokesman at the centre of the Olympic boxing issue, Mark Adams, was Keir Starmer's Best Man.

The Free Press is devolving into pure snark. Could you please do some journalism again?

I had the same reaction. Seems they like TGIF so much that they have adopted that as their main feature.

Thank you, Madeleine Kearns, for writing about the unfairness of men competing in women's sports. I became a democrat at age 12. Fifty years later, I left the party when not one democrat in the House of Representatives voted to protect women's sports. I also dumped the NYT because it has become a mouthpiece for transgender activists. The reporters don't even pretend to be unbiased. Politically and socially homeless, I was grateful to find The Free Press. I am even more grateful now that one of its reporters is willing to write about the travesty of men competing in women's sports. Maybe I'm not so homeless after all.

Schiffmann & Shevchenko need to create a non friend pendant to work out their feelings.

No, table tennis is not really a spectator sport (I say that as a former - way back - competitive player). And the world associations know that.

A few decades ago they change the rules - shorter games, two rubber colours) in an attempt to make rounds longer and it more fun to watch. With very limited success, in my opinion and it seems with no success at all in the authors view!

I have no problem seeing the ball, but get it that not all do for certain fast play styles.

On the other hand, exhibition matches where top rate players just show off their skills and have fun are hugely entertaining to watch.

I would propose that the Olympics include an exhibition match between top ranked players (not necessarily the medal winners) as a bonus.

Harris may be able to beat Trump for one reason: her quote Team is CHEATING & there is no referee - period.

All rules of fair play &/or legality have been subverted &/or permanently suspended. June 28, 2024 - the genie came out of the bottle && mainstream media & mega donors have been successful at trying to stuff it back in the bottle before someone finally actually INVESTIGATES it.

The media, whose sole job it is to keep the people informed, to track the government & its myriad of interconnected “interest$”, to assure a semblance of order & transparency exist - gone.

Harris, is still no more qualified today, than she was a week ago or a month ago.

But neither was *or* is the current reigning PRESIDENT Biden.

Both our allies & enemies know who’s really running things & yet we are on Day 34 since the debate & the American 🇺🇸 taxpayers are in the dark.

Not every stone is a diamond. Abigail Shrier's piece was good, as were the articles on the hospital changing its gender care policy and on men competing against women in the Olympics. TFP is far from perfect but between the articles and the comments, it's well worth the price. I like this more than a conservative echo chamber.

Wow, timely on dude's pretending to be chicks at the Olympics.

The video of the (real) female boxer who has to give up because she is getting clobbered by a man is heartbreaking, outrageous and so so sad.

The Olympics and so called feminist's who allowed this should be ashamed.

Awful , simply awful.

Not following the boxing chromosome issue.

Were the boxers born female or not? Do they have female sex organs?

Or are they transgender? That should be easy enough to ascertain.

The Italian was born a woman. The other boxer was not.

I haven’t watched one second of the Olympics and will never watch an Olympic event again.

And you know what, I’ll be fine:)

1. Election: Trump says stupid things & is inarticulate. He had the opportunety to discuss issues. His opponent's gender & race should be immaterial! It's a case of his receiving stupid advice leading to stupid statements. He needs to be able to recognize STUPID! I can! Vice-President Vacuous (It sounds better than Giggles): The democratic party establishment elites led by Obuma, Billary & the Wicked Witch of the West in 2020 presented to the populace a physically & mentally impaired individual. They hid him in the basement of his home & inspite of his frailties he won. This same amalgam will repackage Vice-President Vacuous as the Second Coming & will declare Sen. J.D. Vance as the Anti-Christ, Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Devil, take your pick. Since Vance is a white male He, She, It, You (Familiar or Formal), They, Them MUST BE A SYSTEMIC RACISTS! That tact might just work. It's the blind leading the blind. Oy! Double Oy!

2. Washington State Hospitals: They need to be sued multiple times. That might get their attention.

3. IOC: Mark Adams needs to go a few rounds with one of those female boxers. Maybe Giggles could choose him as her running mate.

100%. Trump has fallen right into the trap of abortion, gender and race. Very maddening, for if we had a normal person for a candidate, who stuck to policy debate, he could wipe the floor with Kamala.
