It will take Israel, the disaffected impoverished Shia majority, and any other moderate Arab nation or group in the region (Most of whom have previously expelled Hezbollah, The Muslim Brotherhood, the PLO or any other iteration of Iranian proxy and do not want them back [they have not taken in any of these "refugee"]) to come together to get the job of ridding the region from iran and its proxies. While the US has not proven itself to be a reliable partner in this process, they need not to stand on the sidelines. Right now it is their backyard, but ultimately it may also be ours in the West. We too have a vested interest in the region. Without Israel's presence, (a "common" enemy for the Arabs) it will be even worse. There will be no other lightening rod in the region.

So there's a real "deep state" in Lebanon... but the deep state in the United States is just a conspiracy. Maybe if we could clean up OUR deep state then we'd be able to give a shit about their deep state...and possibly do something about it...
