I wasn’t going to get into a political fist fight. I was not coming to hear an academic debate. I was not coming to hear someone advocate for eradicating a country because that was free speech. A graduation is not a public political event. It is a private event. A tradition. It is an elevation of students to the next level. USC was absolutely right to pull this speaker. What they did wrong was to blame the change on safety. What they did was common sense.
