God bless, Catherine Herridge. Keep up the good fight. We need you.

Can we somehow create another 50 million more clones of Catherine Herridge and other conscientious journalists. Can we hold CBS to the mat. How can we really move forward as a nation if all we listen to are the lies and obfuscations of the political parties. We need a solid unbiased spread now more than ever.

I am glad to see TFP support a true journalist like Herridge. However throw away lines that imply she was the first journalist to call Hunter Biden’s laptop real would not be something she would agree with. That honor belongs to Miranda Devine at the New York Post.

Can we have a TFP crowdsourcing event to support her?

Kind of ironic that the very people who say voting for a Republican will end our democracy, are the very people who want to change things illegally when it suits them.

the lame stream media will not support her or report her story because they are an arm of the government. never forget that.

While I respect Ms. Herridge's values, I disagree entirely with the notion that any confidentiality should attach to news sources. Anonymous sourced reporting is the blight of American journalism. The source of a news report is every bit as important as the report itself. If you want to talk about the public's right to know, that right includes knowledge of who's talking.

The masthead of the Washington Post reads 'Democracy Dies in Darkness'. Hypocrisy, The darkest place in the United States is the newsroom. Whenever you read an anonymously sourced news report, you're not reading news. You're reading an unsigned op-ed.

RE: "What made it even more alarming was that her notes and files, which contained information on her sources, were seized by her former employer. CBS even locked her out of her own office. She eventually retrieved her personal property, but only after enlisting the help of her union."

It's clear that the "legacy media" no longer has an interest in truth. All they wish to do is support their tribal agenda. Thankful for The Free Press for your commitment to truth.

Catherine Herridge is one of the few reporters that has any credibility for reporting without bias. That’s why she is a target. She’s getting too close to the power circle and needed to be derailed. Why she ever thought going to CBS would be a good career move is beyond me. She’s getting the same treatment that Sharyl Attisson got. Hopefully Ms. Herridge will end up on Substack to continue reporting the truth. I’d pay to read her work. She’s old school.

So who, exactly, does CBS work for?

Well, this privilege is clearly strong, and in the public interest generally, it is a balancing act. I would be interested to know what factors District Court judge thought overcame what I would consider strong presumption of privilege. I didn’t see it in the linked article.

First amendment is such an annoyance for the government and the deep state intelligence blob. But the Biden administration and NATO are getting the war they stoked in the Middle East. Watch the coming increase in censorship from the Obama Biden blob. They want you afraid. Illegals be making more crime near you soon. If you think the government is on your side, think again.

I’m no fan of any of the dinosaur media news outlets, but for years I heard liberals squawk about “Faux News”. So now, CBS has fired Ms Herridge, while “Faux News” is assisting in her defense. I’m curious what the libs in the FP audience have to say about that.

Just WOW….can things get any worse and our country still hold together? This is beyond the pale but hopefully there are still enough legislators with a conscience that this bill passes.
