I guess I should cease being amazed at the exemplification of mental rot from our IVY schools : hypocrisy, double standards and quasi Soviet speech control (Orwell warned us that totalitarian systems control language (pronouns, DEI, etc. anyone?) in order to prevent their citizens from expressing or thinking rebellious thoughts!) blind ideology and "thought control" ... coming from the left in the US and elsewhere - we are not alone.

Any person who trespassed on private or public property illegally, destroyed property and held people hostage (a federal crime worth up to 50 years in prison) ... in a land of laws where "no one is above the law" .... would normally be held responsible .. but not when "liberal/progressive" prosecutors, university heads and culprits share the same disregard for laws or "equal treatment before the laws".

Then I see what is happening in the West in response to the hard left swing the US and Europe have undergone over the last few decades ...

Newton was right! Here comes the equal but opposite reaction.

The people, average citizens who are fundamentally tolerant people, are fighting back, have had enough and want sanity/balance to return. Facts are no longer as easily hidden (Islamic financial support in some universities, for instance.)

Elections are on going ... and will likely be a timely response.

Northwestern, which has received $690 million from Qatar in recent years, is considering BDS measures. History owes the "good Germans" an apology.

thanks for the list of schools NOT to look into for my Son's Education. Good Lord I thought the preepies and Jocks were bad in the 80's.

Harvard is a corrupt joke. They sit on a $60 billion (with a B) endowment fund. Why don't they just buy Gaza, and open a University there?

Good. Now start defunding ALL money to these colleges. None of these colleges should receive federal funding.

C'mon Bari Weiss... I have had more than one comment removed by your censors because it "wasn't great"... when will you start going for blood against these leftists and hit them with everything you've got?

These colleges MUST be exposed for becoming the anti-Semitic hotbeds that they are. Use your platform wisely. ATTACK Democrats constantly, with unrelenting vitriol. Hurt Democrats, Bari Weiss...

The Democratic Party of America, DELENDA EST!

Just before I read this article, I read the Douglas Murray/Thatcher article. It underlines the fecklessness of the 'progressive' wing of the Democrat party with its ideology, which is now throughout our societal strata and the utter spinelessness of most of our 'leaders' who are giving into the mob.

The Southern Border will be sending the "Palestinians" right into the USA soon enough... I think the Governor of Texas should put them on beautiful busses directly to Cambridge, Princeton, Johns Hopkins and Berkeley. Praise Allah Praise Berkeley

The Palestinian cause is a political one. Studying it will not involve an objective recounting of the history and culture of the region and its people, but rather indoctrination into the political cause. Those who are interested in the history and culture of the region can take various courses in Near Eastern or Arabic studies. There is no need for a separate department dedicated to a political cause.

I think the left thought that all the people who are "not the left" were clownish MAGAs and therefore need not be taken seriously. Such a myopic view will cost them dearly. There are plenty of smart, noble people out there who can reject two thoughts at the same time and think clearly and diligently through complex issues. Trump can be a clownish nightmare, and vacuous cosplaying useful Ivy leaguers can be embarrassingly banal. Meanwhile, the adults understand that, just because the extremes cannot handle nuance and complxity, doesn't mean the rest of us can't.

Tentifada is a gift to non-progressives and exposes the vacuity of the Left. Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a fool of himself. Let it roll!! Absolutely do not make the mistake of cracking down on this and handing MSM footage of big meanie cops cracking heads with nightsticks. Stick more cameras and microphones in front of idiot protesters and idiot college presidents so that they can reveal themselves for what they are.

Lately, I've begun reading The Intercept. Over there, college professors are losing jobs over their anti-Israel views, pro-Hamas nonprofits are losing their tax-exempt status, and Biden goes along with whatever Israel wants. The NYPD is even not being nice to arrested protesters.

Much better.

What would it take for CAIR lose its nonprofit status? It should happen.

And much more.

Don’t believe it. The Intercept is advocacy journalism; one-sided and with an axe to grind. Who are you going to quote next, MSNBC?

I do feel that Sabra should be scrutinized more closely. It's a crime against Hummus.

Sabra Hummus is not merely a micro-aggression; it’s a macro-agression. The university should bring in a Certified Hummus Consultant like Michael Solomonov to rectify the situation. I offer my services for the oversight of the project.

Results of the protests are a bit mixed, and I'm not sure all these schools really capitulated. How do you deal with small children making demands? The old standby: "Let me think about it." Normally the child will keep pestering you -- but not if they're leaving for the summer! I think the schools are betting on the usual short attention span.
