Raising a glass to toast Judge Stearns.

These schools will not listen unless and until their funding is threatened. Hope these lawsuits succeed.

And hopefully the next student encampment (not just student protest….that’s no problem) is not met with administrative indifference; but rather, by the business end of a water cannon that is so richly deserved.

Bill Barr is a brilliant mind and writer. Thank you for the concise and clear summary of this mind boggling and prevalent victim -oppressor worldview and its disastrous consequences.

Bill is the best.

All of our universities, with very few exceptions, have given up their Enlightenment heritage of searching for knowledge and truth in favor of neo-Marxist social revolution. That is what the jettisoning of merit and achievement and replacing it with reverse racism, reverse sexism, and preference for selected sexual and religious categories of people, and the converse, discriminating against those falsely defined as "oppressors." The necessary correction is by defunding and de-accrediting universities, toward which responsible states such as Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma have taken serious steps.

Wm. Barr, one of my ideological heroes, once again captures the essence of the issue and identifies the culprits and their true motivations. BTW, read his recent book to learn more about him and the true Trump. It's more complex than you think. Like most things.

What Barr tells you about himself is hardly evidence.. What he actually did as AG in the Justice Department is easily researched.

I read you for alternate independent-minded viewpoints and scathing satire and all those cool photos of people reading you around the world.

But Bill Barr schooling us about this dangerous cultural moment? A bridge too broken.

Hahaha. Bill Barr? Seriously? Moral clarity!? Not worth the read.

The article was excellent and Bill Barr is well thought of and respected n more circles and by more people in the know than any of those in the Biden administration and especially Kamala Harris. You say moral clarity for one reason and one reason only-he was President Trump's attorney general.

Bill Barr on moral clarity? This must be satire.

You're joking. Dozens of offenses. Just a few: totally misrepresenting and then quashing the Muller report that a federal judge had to order released. Interfering in the sentences of Trump's corrupt cronies. Stopping the investigation into "Individual 1" while sending Michael Cohen back to prison, in solitary, for refusing to sign a false and illegal document. There's LOTS more. If you really don't know, look at his Wikipedia page, and many other sources. (Though you probably think Wikipedia is part of the "deep state.")

"(Though you probably think Wikipedia is part of the "deep state.")"

You know nothing about me, yet you make a vile accusation against me.

I do not think you are worthy of any more of a response.

I apologize for the assumption.

"America’s colleges and universities are thickly papered over with campus regulations, antidiscrimination policies, codes of conduct, and disciplinary processes."

If it's been a while since you went to college, you have no idea how true this is and how bad it's gotten. I was involved with a campus club for a long time as alumni advisor, so I've watched it evolve over 3 decades. The bureaucracies have grown at several times the rate of the faculty everywhere, and they need to justify their existence by promulgating ever more (and more restrictive) rules.

Sorta like a government that seems to need 90,402 pages of rules (length of the Federal Register at the end of 2023) to legislate our lives for us, up 80% since 1989...

William Barr you are missed. Title 6 excludes Jews. They're too busy controlling the weather. There are two ways to clean these elite Out Houses of "Learning". It's called Green Power. Take them to court so that they pay a tremendous, financial penalty. Make it become so, that a degree from these schools becomes worthless.

One fact of universities is that their degrees no longer confer a better life. If they continue to stay dogmatic as opposed to educational, parents will encourage their children to go to trade school. Unless it’s the SEC alumni.

I have encouraged mine as long as you can use your hands you will be able to make a living.

My grandfather taught me this and never a truer word has been said. Infrastructure is constantly decaying.

I wish the same outrage was present when campus commies violently attacked and harassed conservatives on campuses across the country. Maybe the Free Press should interview Andy Ngo about the double standard.

Campuses must be havens of free speech, or take away their funding, and make them pay taxes on their endowments.

The University of Washington President, Ana Mari Cauce, has let let antisemitism run rampant there along with cancel culture. She deserves the same scrutiny as the University admins mentioned here (and then some).

Shortly after I posted this comment I got Matt Taibbi's newsletter. Today's subject was University of Washington and their "Center for an Informed Public." This isn't directly relevant to the antisemitic issue we're discussing here, but it does show how UW under Ana Mari Cauce turned into a dream school for the woke left.

Don't underestimate the role that the overproduction of "elites" plays here. The well-meaning but also self-serving expansion of taxpayer-backed student loans over the past few decades has put irresistible and ever-growing piles of money on the table that everyone wants a piece of, including banks and universities themselves. Couple that with a societal blind spot regarding the value of a four-year degree for every high school graduate in the country, regardless of aptitude or interest, and you end up lowering the bar to entry and expanding the pool of college graduates beyond the nation's capacity to absorb them. Kids who didn't belong in college and who had no real interest in it were told that only losers went into the trades, and when those bored children graduated with their pointless grievance studies certificates, phony baloney jobs had to be created for the vast army of Hedley Lamarrs. DEI departments were created on campus and off, and intellectual rot set in everywhere.

I agree, but why the slam at Heddy Lamar?

Don't worry, for a moment I thought the same thing.

And let's remember that Hedy Lamarr was not just beautiful, but she had a brain that could invent microwaves and Bluetooth.

That's what I recalled about her, B. (not so much her acting ability). And thanks for correcting my spelling.
